I am wondering if it would pay for me to purchase an annual pass for 2007.

As of right now, I will be booking an 8 night trip (2 rooms) for Aug. 2007 at a Deluxe resort.

In addition, I "might" be interested in doing a long weekend in Feb.

Lastly, possibly another long weekend at some other point in the year.

I think an AP will run me about $460. Whereas the MYW tix for just my long trip will be $270. So, for an additional $190, what kind of room discount might I expect...and will this discount make the 2 weekend trips more affordable also?

Lastly, If I'm booking the trip, and already have an AP, how do I get tix & dining for the rest of my family? Don't we all have to be on the same plan?

I'm SO confused....

Don't expect to get a discount, they are not always available. I have seen discounts of $100/night off of a deluxe, but availablity can be limited. I recommend not buying an AP unless you actually get the discount.

Well i think if yo are going that many times it would definetely pay to go with an AP.You get some discounts on food can also get discounts at the world of Disney store at DTD.Then if there are room discounts then thats an added plus.
I love having an AP.

I agree with Mickeyfan2. You may not get a discount, but, you can make your room ressie and then wait like the rest of us for an AP discount! If one becomes available, and you can modify your ressie -- then you can get the AP. You don't need to provide the # when you book like you do for AAA. You just need to show the voucher or AP at check in.

i just called yesterday to upgrade to an ap...i am going in sept, dec and jan..total ticket days are 18..i was told if i did that then i would not be allowed to get the dining pakage because that is exactly what it is a package (room, tickets, food) i opted not to get the ap. hope this helps!
