Hi,

We are going to spend 2 nights at Dolphin in Mid May. Everybody on this board is talking about the heavenly beds at Swan. Is there someone who actually prefer Dolphin versus Swan? Please give me something to look forward to :D

We stayed at the Dolphin and loved it.....the Heavenly beds are fabulous!!!!!!!!

We stayed Club Level and enjoyed the cont breakfast and snacks in the lounge.....

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Hey luckytso - I was booked at the Dolphin in mid May and was wondering the same thing. I ended up calling the Dolphin yesterday and switched to the Swan because of the talk about the newly renovated rooms!

I loved my stay at the Dolphin. I was upgraded to a king room with two windows and a giant balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Our view was awesome and all the CM's there were freindly. The room is a bit bigger than the Swan too.

No heavenly beds at the Dolphin. Good things about Dolphin: Tubbies - a restaurant open 24 hours a day, a laundry room which Swan does not have, a bigger nicer lobby, more family type restaurants than Swan, I think Dolphin lap pool is bigger, but not sure. Dolphin has a poolside bar and restaurant, Swan has poolside restaurant. Swan also has a poolside bar but it is rarely open.

we stayed at the dolphin last year and loved it.already booked for next year. my kids (21 and 16) liked it better than the beach club!! less competition at the pool, buffeteria, rooms were fine, we had no problem......enjoy

The Dolphin's rooms are also a little bigger than the Swan's. They also have an arcade for kids. I would rather stay at the Dolphin than the Swan because of this and the fact that they have Tubbies right there for fast food.

OK so.....I keep reading and the more I read the more confused I get as to which one is the better one to stay at. The Swan or the Dolphin. Swan has the beds and is quieter.....Dolphin has Tubbies, laundry, larger rooms, bar and pool service....more convenient to food court........HELP!!!! I am coming with my 8 year old granddaughter.

Dear Lois,

The Dolphin also has the Camp Dolphin near the Health Club which your granddaughter might enjoy.

Relax Lois - you will be fine with either one. They are SO close to each other. It is further for me to walk from my desk to my car (in the fridgid Wisconsin winter) than to walk from the door of one to the other there!

We were from our room on 12th floor Swan to Tubbis or the laundry in 5 minutes.

They are sister resorts - consequently you have access to the amenities at both facilities.

We chose the Swan specifically for the smaller overall building. I was just too intimidated by the size of the Dolphin. The Swan seemed 'cozier' - that is all part of my mentality. After all - how can you describe a resort with 800 rooms as 'cozy'?

It is in no way like the distance between the Grand Floridian & the Poly. You are basically side by side with the 2 resorts and within minutes of anything at either resort.

We just got back from the Dolphin 1/13 and LOVED it! We split our 2 week stay between AKL and the Dolphin. We prefered the Dolphin. We loved the location, the beach theme, the piano player in the lobby, the grotto pool and being so close to Boardwalk. We had a Jr. Suite with CL with a view of MGM. We are planning to go back to the Dolphin next year for 2 weeks. At this point we don't want to split our stay with another resort. Happy planning!

Thanks so much for all your replies. I feel better now.
