Can anyone tell me how this works and is it a good site to use for pictures? I am not very computer literate mind you:rotfl2:

I LOVE snapfish!! It is very easy to upload your photos, and they give you an option to send emails to people to view your photos.

They have a massive storage system that allows you to store your photos for as long as you need. I have about 4000 pictures saved to my account.

Also, if you buy prepaid prints all you have to do is make one order per year and they never expire.

snapfish is so easy to use.

I wanted to add that if you have a citi credit card, be sure to use their bonus mall thing. You will get additional money back when you order through their link.

I love Snapfish! I have been using them for years. The site is very easy to navigate and easy to order. I do not order many prints instead I make photo books and order them since I am too lazy to put photo albums together. I do not order often, I wait until they are offering a promotion and order a bunch at a time.

Which reminds me, I need to order some pictures.

It's pretty straightforward to set up an account and upload pictures. I've shared albums a few times with family, but I haven't done that in a couple of years.

The best feature for us right now, is that you can have your pictures printed out at Walgreens (maybe other locations too). We have a Walgreens within walking distance from our house! It's great to go pick up a few pictures in 30 minutes or so. And if your are only getting a couple of pictures, then it's cheaper to have them printed locally, rather than mailing them to you.

Finally, the best reason to have the online picture storage, is that you never have to worry too much about losing your pictures on your computer (or worse yet a house fire - eek). (My husband is a firefighter so we think about those things.)

I use both snapfish and kodakgallery. And some others depedning on who has the best prices at the time.

I love snapfish because they have great prices but also because they send me "free" stuff. I say it in quotes because i usually have to pay shipping.

But i got a "free" poster print, free address book, free 4x6 flip book I assume all just for shopping there...unless its because I have a really cute kid! HAH!:rolleyes1

Like others have said, Snapfish is great. The prepaid print option is the way to go and standard shipping is pretty quick. I usually get my order on day 2 or 3. Also, they are on mypoints, so if you have an account you can get points for your purchases. I had all my wedding photos printed through them and just recently, my baby's photos and my free announcements. Good stuff!

We just started using a digital camera (yes, I know :rolleyes1 ) and used Snapfish - Love it!!!! It is so quick and easy and the photos are really great. Can't beat the pricing and they ship immediately. We got our last batch in two days and nothing was rushed. :thumbsup2

I just used them for the first time to create a photo book for my DD's bat mitzvah. It is amazing! When I previewed the book, snapfish let me know if there was a photo that was too low quality (some of the ones we scanned in were too low) so that we could correct the images before we bought. The software was super easy to use and the background pages were beautiful.

I cannot wait to make another.

I used ofoto which became kodakgallery.com . I like it a lot - bc I use it a lot I guess I'm most comfortable with it. However, I also use snapfish and shutterfly - whichever one has the best promotion going. If you belong to a frequent flyer club (i.e., Delta) go through their web site to "retail partners" and see which ones they partner with (i.e., shutterfly) and you'll earn miles while getting prints! (I keep forgetting and going directly to the photo web site. :sad2: )

Ditto! I love their photo books. My best friend made me one for my birthday last year, and this year I made one for my mom (of our mother/daughter Disney trip) for her bday. It came out so beautifully that I bought one for myself too.

I'm upset that I didn't remember to go through mypoints though!

They have very good quality products and A+ customer care!! They reprinted my wallet size Christmas pics 3 times at no charge with next day shipping. When they finally turned out right, it was after Christmas, so they just refunded everything. The thing is, only the bottom row of wallets was cut off, so I ended up getting, like, 40 usable wallet pics when I had originally ordered 10 or something.

I ordered on December 19, so I was late getting started, but they took complete responsibility for my corrected pictures not arriving by Christmas. I bought some Shutterfly gift cards on clearance at Target, but for everything else, I use Snapfish!!

I love them too! Another good point is that you can get mailers for regular film. When we were doing a trip of the national parks in the southwest, we also used a great film camera. We had our mailers, and just dropped the film in mailboxes. (Did you know there's a post office at the Grand Canyon?) When we got home, our photos started showing up in albums online and then arrived in the mail, all nice and printed.

Another bonus - I can keep all sorts of addesses in my account for relatives like my husband's grandmother, my Mom & Dad, my SILs and BILs, etc. with them, and then I just click and send.

Thanks for all the replies. Okay, so I go on the site and load my pictures from my camera to the site. Then I can order pictures that I want printed? How much are they per print and is prepay the only option or the best option? Are you able to crop and add borders, etc.? I am needing to get my Disney pictures printed and there are a BUNCH!! What exactly is the photo book you are talking about? Is it an actual photo album that Snapfish puts together for you? Thanks again for all the help.

Prepay is the best option...I think the lowest amount is 250 prints. You don't need to use it. I used them for a few years with film before I finally joined the digital age.

I alternate between snapfish and kodakgallery. They both have picture collages that are great. You can crop and do borders etc. I think kodak has better features for that.

Always do a web search for coupons before ordering.

I think prints are 0.09 right now, but if you ordering lots of pictures, the best bet might be for you to have them develop at your local Walgreens. You just have Snapfish send them there. I say that because last time I printed pictures through Snapfish, they should have been 0.09, but with shipping, I was going to pay $54. I decided to see how much I could pick them up for--$33. So I had Snapfish develop through Walgreens and the next time I was in town, I just picked them up.

prints at 9 cents, but if you prepay for 250 prints it's 8 cents each. Shipping is a little high, but every once in a while there are free shipping offers or codes to reduce the cost. When I ordered last week, the "MYPOINTS" code gave 20% off. I check out the deal forums before I purchase to try to find a code

It is similar to a photo album, but instead of pictures that are inserted under plastic or mounted to the page, the pictures are the actual page. http://www2.snapfish.com/storenewphotobooks/t_=124390293 If you click on one of the book styles they have there (we made an 8X11 version), you can see samples of the inside of the book. Ours looks so professional, it is amazing. And, it was so fun to do.

Rats, you know, I totally forgot about My Points when I ordered.
