Can someone recommend a good scary movie!

The Island of Misfit Toys is by far THE SCARIEST movie I've ever seen. I wouldn't recommend it though.

The old version of The Haunting is a nice old-fashioned spooky movie. Trilogy of Terror, Duel and Wait Until Dark are good too. Aliens is good for a thrill IMO and I loved Rose Red.

A good, suspenseful movie is Final Destination (though I doubt I'll see the sequel).

I also liked Scream, which you'll probably like if you liked Halloween.

Actually we didn't. We got in new furniture and a piece was busted to heck so we spent the whole night trying to get the rest put up so we are doing the scary movies tonight.

13 Ghosts

Although a lot of them sound really good!!

We've seen What Lies Beneth and my DH freaked....it was hillarious!

FUN!!! New furniture! Nothing better, but it is somewhat of a bummer that one piece was not what you seemed to have ordered! Broken to pieces would be hard to sit on now wouldn't it?!?!?? Have a fun time with your new furniture and your scarey movies tonight though! And don't forget to turn off the lights and light the candles- makes for a scarier atmosphere

If you can find it - it's old - but Motel Hell starring Rory Calhoun. It's scary and funny. I love that movie.

Motel Hell is a riot. I recently bought it on DVD for only $5! It's a scream!

The Sweetest Thing is really funny. I really enjoyed it. Hope you do, too!

A movie that really scared me when I was a pre-teen was The Legend of Boggy Creek. I couldn't look out of a window at night for a very long time. I doubt you could find it on DVD/video.

The Exorcist is the only movie that truly terrified me!
I think there are very few really good horror films....
