Can someone please help me try and save all my information on my Sony Clie PDA?

I have a Sony Clie peg22 Personal Digital Assistant.

I can see all my dates, addresses, and memos on my computer.

And I know that the Sony Clie PDA said that all the addresses, memos,etc. on the PDA would all be lost if I had to do a "hard reset", after a "soft reset" failed.

I don't think that I had a choice. I think that I was trying to "hot sync" more data than I had space for on my PDA.

I tried the soft reset several times, but my PDA screen was frozen with an "error message" stating "fatal error" while I was trying to "hot sync."

So now my PDA is empty of all the data that I put in it.

But my computer still shows all that all my data is still visible and editable, but on my computer, and not on my PDA.

Now everytime that I try to "hot sync" my PDA to the computer, and also "hot sync" from computer to PDA, I can't seem to figure out how to resolve this problem.

Can any PDA owners please help me?

Am I going to have to put everything back in my PDA by hand, even though I see it in my computer?

I never seem to have a problem with losing data after a reset with my Sony Clie. Be interested to hear how this works out for you. Sorry I can't be of help.

Did your clie come with any software that you have to load on your computor? Do you have a folder for that you sync to?
Do you have to have software active sync on your sys for them to
talk with each other.you can also go here for help.

Thank you We4Mickey and Kirk for your replies. I've tried cliesource, too.

Now after uninstalling and then reinstalling my palm software, and then hot syncing successfully, I try to open my pc desktop palm icon and I get the following message:

"Palm (X) Program Performed Illegal Operation..."

Then in a window below this it says:

"Palm caused an invalid page fault in module TABLE22.DLL at 0167:67f75a37....etc...."

I need some serious help before I go crazy.

Someone please help me.

Depending on what program you are hot syncing to, you can do a hot sync and all the data should reappear on your Clie if it is still in your computer. Make sure the conduits are set to synchronize the files. You can also do Desktop Overwrites Handheld, but make sure you set it back to Synchronize the Files when you are done hot syncing after you get all your data back onto the Clie.

Hmmm...if all the data that you need is on your Clie, try this:

1.) uninstall the Palm Desktop from Add or Remove Programs

2.) Drag and drop the Sony Handheld folder from C:\Program Files to another location (like your desktop)

3.) reinstall the Palm Desktop from the Clie installation CD

4.) Do a hot sync

5.) If it works, send me $5
