Hi,
So my brother and his family have now decided to come to Florida with us this October. I've been on at him to sort it while free ddp was still on but no, that would be too easy, he's only decided now!
He wants to stay at All Stars and pay for the DDP and his tickets all in one go. We are going Tues 18th Oct to Sat 29th Oct from Manchester with VA.
They want to go from any London airport and are flexible as to what day and time as long as it overlaps ours and are close to our dates.
I have been on the Disney site and got a good price of just over £2200 for AS, 1 adult and 2 kids (14 and 8) qwith DDP and Disney tickets which he is happy with but now I'm struggling with flights.
He doesn't want to go indirect despite them being around the £500 mark and I can only find really high direct prices!
I've tried packages but TCD want nearly £5000 and VH nearer £6500!!! :scared1: Complete Orlando have some good prices but only have indirect flights.
I really want to help them but now I'm a bit stuck....:headache:

Had a very quick look as I am just going to bed but no bargains out there for flights unless willing to go indirect.
Direct I saw were over £800, indirect into MCO about £500pp, or indirect into Tampa £430 ish.

Looking for similar dates myself, 21st-29th almost booked the Tampa ones a few days ago but waiting to see if I get anything from MAN.

Hey. I booked with Virgin for October 2012 and got a 14 day park ticket for the price of 7, free dining plan AND a $300 voucher to spend in the parks.

Welcome to DISboards.
Too late for Oct this year, free dining is finished now.

Wayne dont you think sometimes its better to leave till nearer the time:confused3 I know its luck of the draw and perhaps more doable at quieter times. Seeing the prices cosmos were offering for may last minute were brilliant. Even if you use the flight and not the accomodation if not to your liking. Our flights for november have come right down to just over £400 with m+m. Its all down to risk I suppose. We have said we will have no problem trying indirect next time as it looks like august or october next year for us.
Mollie hope you get something sorted. Would it be cheaper to book through the US disney site. They normally bring out their DDP later and extend it to the values though QSDP I think. Good luck and hope you all manage to meet up for a lovely holiday.
Remember men are so indecisive.Dve cant decide from one day to the next so did you really expect your brother to make his mind up when you asked:rotfl2::lmao: No offence guys.:woohoo:

Some times of the year yes, last minute are often available but its Oct half term. Possibly something will be available but I will book as soon as the price is right(and good flight times)
Never easy for any school hol.

Oh yeah forgot about half term. I wish they wouldnt hype the prices up so much in school holidays but I suppose its business.:confused3

Thanks everyone, I found a pretty good deal with Cosmos £3633.50 (flights, hotel, tickets, ddp) but my brother said he was going to wait until nearer the time to see if the prices come down...:confused3
I tried to explain that it was October half term but oh well.....
Thanks everyone for your input, wonderful as usual :wizard:

using my new favorite airline - www.americanairlines.co.uk - i found the following:

the non-stop flights is stratospherically expensive (over a 1,000)...
indirect is better, though not great: £ 589.23

the indirect is from heathrow to orlando via dallas on the way out and via JFK on the way back home..

dallas isn't bad, JFK is on my major hate list...
