Can someone please describe the fantasmic package dinner in a nutshell.

So basically if you eat at one of the certain restaurants do you get reserved seating for Fantasmic??? Also when booking the reservation do you have to say it is for the fantasmic package???? And do you have to pay more??

The package guarantees you a seat for Fantasmic without having to wait an hour or more. The seats are good in my opinion, they are off to the side but worth it not to have to wait.

There are 2 restaurants to choose from and you pay a set price. It's really not that much more than just ordering off the menu at Mama's and HBD, I think about the same if you choose H&V. It's still worth it imho.

Yes, you must tell them you want the package and you have to pay upfront with a cc.

I recommend it! We didn't do it in December and we ended up standing in the back. Not a bad view, but I would have rather had a seat! It was soooo crowded that night.

you have several choices for resturants. Our favorite is hollywood and vine, its a buffett and the food is excellent. Yes you have to request the package when you book your reservation. No, it does not cost more. It is a great value in my opinion. We reserve it every time we go to wdw.

Hi There!

We did the FDP at The Brown Derby and LOVED IT! Actually, depending on what you order, you can actually SAVE MONEY. I am going to search for my review thread and post it here. I think it was $36.99 and with my app, entree and dessert that i chose, I would have ended up spending close to $50 on the meal. Now, if I was not on the FDP, I probably would have just shared a dessert with DH, and probably shared an app, too. So you have to take all of that into consideration.....

How do you do this if your on the dining plan? is this a hard reservation to get? Are you guaranteed seats up front?
