Can someone please confirm or deny not having to fold a stroller on Hogwarts Express?

Title says it! I posted a thread a few weeks ago asking whether I will have to fold a stroller on the HE. It will dictate which stroller I can bring! And I had mixed responses, some said they were able to park the stroller upright, and others said they had to fold it...so I'm wondering if there are recent reports of being able to keep it unfolded? (it's just me and my 2 yo DD, so it is tough to fold it, hold on to her and bags at the same time).

Thank you!! :goodvibes

Thank you for the reply - did the stroller go into that compartment with you? From the photos I've seen, it seems like that would be a tight fit!

I saw no folding of strollers. They along with wheel chairs and scooters are put at the tom and back of each car. They do not go in the room/ cabin with you.

LOL once again 50/50 on responses!! The stroller I WANT to bring is HUGE - but super comfy for DD to take her naps in and great storage for me. I can't imagine folding it and bringing it into the compartment with me, it would take up at least 1 seat! But if I HAVE to fold the stroller then I would bring a mid-size one that is semi comfortable but way easier to handle. This is the only time I have to worry about folding it up mid-day, all other times (at Disney) we'll have a rental car so no need to worry about carrying it on the buses and such...

Argh decisions!

Rode it Saturday and the workers were having people just leave the strollers (unfolded) at the door to each train car, they said they would handle them. This was from Hogsmede to King Cross, so I don't know how it works going the other way.

Ok, you are giving me hope now that it is 2 to 1...:rotfl:

Thanks for the response!

To close this out - we rode the Hogwarts Express numerous times and never had to fold the stroller. A couple times I parked it myself, and a couple times someone told me to leave it outside the door and they would park it for me. There would have been hardly room in the compartment if it had been full for a full-size folded stroller, though I did see a few people folding umbrella strollers.
