When and where would it NOT be appropriate to wear capri's -say nice linen or khaki ones? Esp dining areas?

What about shorts for breakfast or lunch-what location?

Still planning and packing!!
Thanks for your help

Hi nswift! We "meet" again!

I was planning on packing capris! They are so comfy! I figured if I match it with a nice top & some fancy sandals and/or loafers, I'd be ok. Now I'll have to see what others have to say! :wave2:

Hmm...

LOL...My thoughts exactly. Capris are not as stiff/hot as pants, feel like a vacation, cool and comfy....so, I hope we are in luck and they are appropriate for most times!

Have you packed? I am about half way done--I have to put some things straight into the suitcases as I have teens and they would be wearing things I have 'cruise' marked. Also, wanted to make sure I had enough luggage space. I can tell already I am going to have to take the advice of someone on here and take out 50% of what I think I am going to need :-)

Do you have all your excursions booked? We booked Capt Marvins 1/2 day...

2 weeks! It is going to fly bye!!
As always, nice talking to you...pretty soon-smooth sailing!

I have been on 2 cruises and think capri's are definately appropriate except for formal & semi-formal nights. Capris are the only way to get me out of shorts when its hot. I think they look very nice. Breakfast you can wear anything, most people are in shorts. Have a great cruise!

It's your vacation - be comfortable!

I would agree that capri's would be fine for anything but formal, semi-formal or Palo.

The nice thing about them is they can be dressed down for day and dressed up for night with the right tops and shoes.

Enjoy!

Another vote that they're okay in most dining rooms. I personally wouldn't wear them to evening meal at Lumiere's unless they were a really dressy pair, but to anyplace else, if you have a pretty shirt and sandals, they'll be fine. They're particularly nice for tropical night, regardless of your restaurant! Breakfast and lunch in any restaurant, they would be appropriate.

I'd also feel okay wearing them to Palos for brunch, but probably not high tea, definitly not dinner.

I took a couple pairs last time, and will probably add another this time. They are a nice compromise between comfort and looks.

Forgot to add that sometimes they dining rooms can be chilly, so if you're wearing them because you think you'll be hot at dinner, the a/c will probably keep you cool enough (I always took a sweater to dinner).
