Okay, so now for the questions and the help I need.

I am thinking about purchasing an annual pass since I hear about the discounts they receive. Does only one member of the group have to have an annual pass in order to get the discounts?

Can someone who is an annual passholder take my information above and get a price quote for me?

I just checked online for prices of annual passes but I am not sure if there are other discounts available too.

SO from what I am getting an annual pass is $48 and a premium annual pass is $579. It seems like a lot to me and as a former Annual passholder, i dont remember it being that much in the past. However, I do know that if you go on vacation now and get the 4 day pass you can upgrade to an annual pass afterwards (that's what we did).

I know that when I was a passholder I never used ANY of the discounts offered. They seemed to me like little things like 10% off at certain restaurants, a few dollars off admission, etc. I definitely don't think it is worth buying ONLY for the discounts. They are not worth that price. It is worth it if you plan on visiting often and getting your money's worth. It is also worth it if you want to go visiting around disney and all of the different parks (i am pretty sure it gives you access to all of the 4 parks). I don't remember getting any real discounts on room rates either. Atleast, that's my experience.

as i was reading this thread i realized they answer your question much better - and it looks to me like alot of DIS members are getting good discounts being an AP. I know that most discounts are unlimited offers, so once they use up a certain amount of rooms with discounts, then your out of luck -unless you change the date and try for a later one. But some are getting discounts of 30-40% w/o codes or pins.

I'm just got off the phone with Disney reservations. If I were to purchase an annual pass for just me and then purchase the other tickets separately, the cost would be $5,100.00! That's more than I am paying without the annual pass!

Still wondering if maybe a passholder can check out the prices for me. I just wanted to see if a passholder came up with the same figures Disney did.

Apprenly I haven't posted enough to send you the link, but the info is on this site. Discounts depend on what you want. You only need one to reserve a room, and it seems most dining discounts apply to 3 people besides the passholder. I plan on purchasing the disney dining experience card which gives you a bigger discount and can be used for up to ten guests. Hope I helped.

At this point in time it would not benefit you to purchase an annual pass. There are super discounts that come along with it like the current discount which is approximately 40% off of your room rate, however, that discount is only valid through 5/21/08 so with your vaca being 5/29 - 6/7 you do not qualify for the discount. HTH
