We are arriving in Florida Saturday afternoon after 2:00. Of course it is also the ONE DAY when the DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies is supposed to be at the car show on Market Street until 4 p.m. (Our ds15 is an Asperger's kid and LOVES those movies)

We have a town car picking us up at the airport and we are trying to see if we could use a stop there as our "grocery stop". Where would we park to be able to see the cars - are there any general parking lots or is it all residence parking and you walk everywhere? Do we have any chance at all of getting in there for a quick look? It will be a race with time counting on our plane getting in on time, the driver being there on time, etc. Dh is against it but I am hoping we can give it a try.

So all you Celebration experts - do you think it would be possible or will it be too crowded to even find a parking spot??

Thanks for any help you can give - even if it's telling me we won't be able to do it. :)

I was in Celebration with a rental car in May of last year. I was able to find parking without a problem around 3:00pm on the west side of Campus Street just north of Front Street.

This link will show you a bird's eye view of where I parked to walk around. The cars that are parked at an angle facing the southwest are the spots I am talking about. The view will default to aerial so change it to Birds eye and recenter on the intersection I mentioned above.

Thanks - we have been looking at the maps but it's hard to tell what is public parking and what is for residents only. Did you park in a lot or on a street? We are wondering how the crowds will be on a Saturday with a show there. We will be getting in at the end so maybe most people will be done with the show? hard to tell...

It was street parking but not parallel, it was head in marked parking. I am not sure about the show part but it was a Saturday when we went and it wasn't crowded at all.

It will be busy and the streets downtown will be closed for the show. I'll send you a pm with a map.

:)

If it's not blocked off, you might try parking behind the church across the street. Not a lot of parking spaces (maybe 50?) but if you're there early enough...?
