Can someone help? Points question

We have 64 Oct 2007 points in our account. When I called to make a ressie for June, I was told that if we canceled our points would go into holding because my use year is not until October. We think we want to go Oct 28-Nov 2, if I book it and have to cancel will they have to go into holding? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

If I understand your question, it seems you have 64 Oct 2007 points that you originally wanted to borrow into your 2006 use year so that you could get a reservation for June 2007 (part of your Oct 1, 2006 to September 30, 2007 use year). Yes, if that reservation were cancelled the points would remain in the 2006 use year you borrowed them into. If that reservation was cancelled less than 31 days prior to arrival the points would have gone into holding. It it were cancelled 31 days or more before arrival the points would have been put back in the 2006 use year into which you borrowed them. Once borrowed from the 2007 use year to the 2006 use year they have to stay there.

As for the Oct 28 - Nov 2 reservation, you can make this without worry. You will be using your Oct 2007 points for a reservation that falls within your 2007 use year. Should you have to cancel the reservation the points would be put back into your account for your 2007 use year. At that point you could still use them for any other DVC reservation, bank them......whatever you can normally do.
