Ok i posted in the homework help thread but im gonna post here too so more people can see......

OK guys here it is....any help would be appreciated!!

Oil spreads on water to form a film about 100nm thick (two significant figures). How many square kilometers of ocean will be covered by the slick formed when one barrel of oil is spilled (1 barrel = 31.5 U.S. gal)?

I dunno..Im so bad at math problems, sorry. I hope you find someone who knows.

we are doing that in chemistry right now!
let me try to do it!

you need to convery barrels to gallons..to liters...to cm cubed...to kilometers..to kilometers squared

or something like that

i know it's a conversion prob..but im not sure of the conversion factors

hmmm we are doing that same thing and I HATE IT..... lets see yea I think Jules is right bc I'm not sure of all the factors but that looks right.
