can someone help me fix my digital camera problem?

Someone gave me a camera that I can't seem to work. I won't be able to go to the store until the weekend, but I'm thinking it might be something basic that I just don't know. Here's the problem. When I turn it on it does show how many pictures are left but the condition indicator light keeps blinking. The instructions say it will blink if it needs to be formatted but it will also say error in the control panel - it does not say error. I tried re-formatting it anyway but I still can't take a picture. Anyone have this happen before?

Try the support site for the make of camera. I own a Sony and can download manuals in pdf format.

did you format the disk in the camera or in your computer..?

i did it on the camera. I haven't even attempted to try to hook it up to the computer. Do you think I should?

p.s. - i tried support but couldn't find an answer - hopefully I won't have to send it in for repairs or return it.

Try changing the batteries. It may have enough "juice" left to turn on the display, but not enough to actually take a picture.
