I recently did an upgrade of my system. I dowloaded all of the suggested Microsoft things from that site and upgraded my AOL Safety & Security. Since then, all heck has been breaking loose on my computer. :guilty: I'll turn it on and it'll say that my Firewall has been turned off or that my Anti-Virus has been turned off. So, I turn it back on. Now, everytime I turn my computer on, it tells me McAfee has detected a suspect file and it recommends I do a scan. I do. It finds nothing. Yet, there it is - every single time I turn on the computer. I don't know what to do and I'm getting very annoyed. :furious:

TIA :wave2:

First off, anytime you do a big upgarde like that, especially with two different items (Microsoft and AOL) you should really break it up into a couple of different downloads and restart in between. It will run better, and if you get a problem, you can more easily figure out what it was that messed you up.

Having said that, if you have windows XP, I would revert back to the time just before you did this updating. It will ask iof you want to keep the changes you made during that time, I would pick no. Restart, make sure it's runnign ok, and then go through the updates one at a time, restarting in between.
