Can someone give an non-exaggerated answer about lines?

People there last few weeks or so:

What are the stand-by times for rides such as Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Winnie The Pooh, Living With the Land, Spaceship Earth etc. (non-headliners)?

I'm not talking about fast pass lines.

I just keep reading that lines were too long to wait in, so people are only getting to ride like 4-5 rides the entire day. But I'm missing what the actual times were.

It's starting to make me nervous.

Pirates - 25 minutes

Winnie- 50 minutes

Haunted mansion- ride down

Land - 15 minutes

Spaceship - 15 min

Judging by your ticker you are going this Fall which will be much less crowded than it is now, so hard to say.

When crowds are very high and headliners are ridiculous waits, the less popular rides see longer lines too. I'd say for Pirates it's usually 15-20, maybe 20 for HM on a regular day (not this time of year)

Last month, the waits for HM, BTMRR, and Pirates were 20 minutes in the evenings - this was during Pres' Week. ETWB had a posted wait of 40 minutes but we entered in 30 minutes. We rode Barnstormer with a Fp+ only because we needed a third Fp+ and the line was listed as 40 minutes. Star Tours often had a posted wait of 10-20 minutes.

When are you going? 6 months from now? I recommend getting the My Disney Experience App if you have any kind of device to use it with. It gives wait times which I believe is the most valuable thing about the app.

We were at MK and Epcot last week. Busy Spring break time. Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Pooh, were walk on to 15 minutes in the morning before noon. After noon they were 25-45 min waits. The mountains go from walk on to 60-70 min waits after noon. Fantasyland is not our thing, but we rode Little Mermaid 20 min (a little after noon) and FP+ Peter Pan. Peter Pan gets really long really fast. So, that is a good ride to FP+. Philharmagic was walk on all day not counting the time you had to wait before the one show ended and yours started.

Spaceship earth has a line in the morning but not in the afternoon or evening. Living with the Land never has a line, people are too busy with Soarin'

First, try reading this, from one of the popular crowd-prediction websites:

Now that you have read that article, realize that Disney kind of yanked the rug out of the prediction schemes that were in use, when they took away paper fast pass machines in January. So the crowd prediction sites are still trying to get a handle on just what lines are going to be like from now on. And they could change yet again, if Disney decides to change the FP+ program parameters further (say by allowing more than 3 passes per person per day).

Even Disney CMs are having a hard time determining how long standby waits are, as many recent visitors have noted that there's a big difference in the posted time and how long they actually waited (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter).

You can also use Lines (TouringPlans.com's ride wait time app) on your phone, or Disney's MyMagic app on your phone, which also provides ride wait times, and look at them anytime you want, starting right now this minute. That's no guarantee that they will be the same on the day(s) you go.

In short, there's no guarantee. Some of us who have gone a lot over the years notice that we get to ride fewer rides per day now. Some claim they're doing as much as they ever did. YMMV.

I am reading the crowd site for October, my dates seem to be 5's and 4's with 6's on the weekends (food/wine I would think).

I was there this past week. it depends on what time of day you are talking about.
From rope drop until about 11, the lines for all the rides you mention were very short - 10 to 20 minutes tops. Then they started to stack up, and by the late afternoon were quite long. Then as you get towards park closing they shorten up again.

We stood in the standby line for Pooh, Ariel, Haunted Mansion (2x), Pirates (2x), People Mover, Test Track (single rider), Spaceship Earth, Nemo, Maelstrom, Space Mountain, BTMRR, Tower of Terror, Star Wars, Muppets and did not wait more than 15 minutes for any by utilizing rope drop. We went straight to Toy Story mania at rope drop and waited 30 minutes because of the mob heading there and FP+ people already coming in.

It is very crowded right now due to spring break.

-Meet characters in big top at 9:45 - saw all 4 in 15 minutes

-Small World - 25 min at 10:45 (actual was 15)
-Haunted Mansion - 20 at 11:15 (didn't ride so don't know actual)
-Peter Pan - 35 min at 12:00
-Big Thunder Mountain - 60 min at 12:15
-Pirates- 45 min at 1:30

2nd MK day
-Jungle cruise - walk on at 9:15am
-Aladdin's magic carpets - 5 min at 9:30
-Pirates - Walk on at 9:30
-Big Thunder Mtn - 20 min at 10am
-Haunted Mansion - 20 min at 10:45 (actual was 15)
-Enchanted tales with Belle - 50 min at 12:00
-Tiki Room - about 5-10 minutes at 7:00 (regularly scheduled)

-Buzz lightyear - 60 min at 5:30
-People mover - 5 min at 5:45

4-5 rides a day is just not true unless you are only there from 1-4 pm every day.

We averaged 8-9 rides in the first 2 hours at MK by arriving for rope drop. Also did Toy story twice, tower of terror and rock n- roller coaster all by 10:15. Did Test Track and Soarin by 10:15.

The hysteria is overblown and totally avoidable with a good plan. Hope this helps.

I would suggest paying $10 for touringplans. I never have before, but just did this month after booking trips for 12 years. I am mad at myself because there is so much information there. You can also go to undercover tourist. Their app will give you current wait times, my kids check them all the time just for fun on their ipads.

4:15 today at Pirates of the Caribbean. Standby posted time was 75 mins (but keep in mind this past Saturday to see Rapunzel had a posted time of 25 minutes and I waited 65!)

My FP+ today for Pirates was 3:55. When I got there at 4:15 this was the line FOR THE FP+ RETURN:

I think that the main thing I'm going to take away from this is that RD is a must do. Seems to me timing is everything.

Whenever someone posts an unreasonably long fp line, it seems to be pirates. So, I'd say that is one ride that physically isn't handling the system well, but I wouldn't generalize that to other rides.

We just got back today and the lines were nuts. Yesterday in MK during the heart of the day (11 am - 6 pm) we saw waits of 70 mins for pirates, 45 for small world and haunted mansion, 55 for Ariel meet and greet and 40 for Ariel ride. Those are the ones that stand out.

At Epcot on Sunday spaceship earth was 25 mins, that was the only park that had "reasonable" waits. Today at AK was nuts too. Tried to change FPs at 10 am and there were no other times available for the whole day for any attraction I tried.

Yesterday we were in MK between 11 and 6 and we did the following - HM standby, DH and DD1 did Ariel meet and greet and myself and DD2 did Ariel ride both on standby, DH and DD1 did SM with FP and myself and DD2 did the speedway with FP. Then DD1 and I used rider swap to ride SM while DH and DD2 did COP. We rode PP with FP and did Philharmagic standby. Used our last fast pass at Big Thunder and then DH and the kids spent a while on Tom Sawyer Island while I shopped. So we averaged about one attraction an hour.

DD1 and I went back to the park from 9-11 pm and the lines were much lower. We walked into barnstormer, dumbo, the carousel and small world and watched wishes and celebrate the magic.

I have personally experienced this insantiy of long FP+ return lines with Voyage of The Little Mermaid, Haunted Mansion (posted a pic of that insane line before as well), Buzz Lightyear (also photographed before) and PFTH. We have a toddler so we don't do the mountains right now, but I can only imagine their lines are worse.

I will also note that today even the line for Philharmagic stretched way out beyond the carrousel (not counting the inside queue you would have to wait in once inside.)
