What happens on October 27th when the booking window switches from 90 days to 180?

We are looking at a trip for February 22 - 28, so on October 26th we will not be in the 90 day window but on the 27th we will be WAAAAAAY in to the 180 day, along with a lot of other people!!

What will this do to my ADR chances?!?!?!

Any suggestions as to how to handle them? I'm thinking online, but am a bit worried that I'll mess it up!

Thanks!

My suggestion is to be on-line right when that happens, my take on this is that so isn't everyone else, and really when you think about it, this is not their busiest time ever, and everybody else is in the same boat. Nobody else is at their 90 day mark for that time yet either, so it isn't like ressies are being taken by them, so i would just say don't work and on Oct. 27th just be on-line booking those ADR's

It will be crazy and there will be alot of unhappy people. The online system will crash, the computer will crash when you call and they CMs will keep telling you to call back. It will be a nightmare! I will also "try" to be online with the 10 gazillion other people. I'll be making my ADRs for my March trip and my 2 week May trip. I'm dreading it! I suspect it will take all day to get this done.

Nobody knows what will happen.

I suspect (a) the entire system will be unavailable due to overloads, and/or (b) that Disney will change their decision to go to 180 days, or (c) that Disney will decide to do a phase-in and somehing as 120 days on October 27, 150 days on November 27 and 180 days on December 27.

But in any event I am very happy that my position has nothing to do with dining reservations.

I am in the same situation. We will be there Feb 6-13th. We need to remember that Pres. weekend is one of the busiest times a DW & those people will be trying to make ADR on Oct 27th as well...only adding to the "stampeed" as someone on another thread called it. I LOVE the phase in idea. Why didn't Disney think of that???

I am planning on having my computer on (I have been practicing with the online sytem, this was a suggestion given to me :) ) as well as home & 2 cell phones. This may be over kill but I have 6yr old & 4yr old princesses who have never been to Cinderella's Royal Table.

PLUS when will they be releasing park hours for Feb? I have been searching all over the web for an answer for this question! Any ideas? I hope it's not Oct 27th... How are you supposed to plan which park to be in (EMH) when there is no calendar?

Well I am becoming an old pro at this sort of stuff:lmao: I had to make my April(Easter week) reservations during those rolling windows last January. All everyone kept saying that no one was going to get their ressies. Well I got everything I wanted.

So here I go again, I will be on the computer at 3:00 am :surfweb:to see if I can get what I have planned out. My only worry is the computer won't be able to handle all the requests.

sign up early.. the second it becomes available (usually updated at midnight) the server will be very very slow because a lot of early birds will be booking.. be patient and persistant dont give up!

Is 3:00am the earliest you can make reservations online for that day?:confused3

Hi, Is 3 am REALLY the time we need to book our ADR's ?? We will be in WDW 2/12-22. Thanks, Joan

So if you leave in CST you can book online starting at 6:00am? But that's the same time as on the phone. I thought it was earlier.

Online ADRS can be booked starting at 3 AM EST- I did it earlier this week, and many others have done it at that time as well. Some have had problems, which may have been website-related, as the site has been very fritzy for a week or so and is returning error messages more than it should. But it can be done at 3 AM EST. I'm living proof!

THANK YOU!:woohoo: I will try to play with the system to perfect it by Oct 27. That means I will have to rise and shine at 2 am on that day. I'm not a morning person but anything for WDW.

Thanks again. I have posted this question several times tonight.:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 That's my take on it as well -- I personally think that Disney is insane for opening up something like 5 months worth of ADRs at the same time. It's like they are asking for a nightmare and for many, many unhappy customers...:sad2: Whoever decided this one didn't think it through...:rolleyes1

That's great for me since 3am ET is just midnight where I am. Beats the 4am call to Disney Dining I used to make all the time...:sad2: That 4am time is what made me switch over to CL rooms -- worth it so I can sleep at night.

Having said that, I do believe that I heard that it sometimes is working at 3am, sometimes at 6am -- something about the system not working properly. My point is that I don't think that this is something we can count on, especially on Oct. 27th.

I would like to know this as well, in the same boat. :confused3

They are "supposed" to release them 180 days in advance. It's just that not many people actually believe that this will really happen, or if it does, that they won't drastically "tweak" the numbers as the actual dates get closer.:confused3

Our 180 day is Nov 3 so hopefully the kinks will all be worked out by then. I'm crossing my fingers.

good luck to everyone else!
