I must have missed something: what has Octomom done to support her kids? I believe that she didn't receive a fee for appearing on Oprah. I think the loon is just so shocked that people aren't lining up to give her the world for a glimpse into hers.

Woof. Not a Kate fan. I think the gripes with the Octomom was that it's socially and financially irresponsible to be inseminated (even if she did think she was only going to have one kid) when you are single, already have six kids (including one that is developmentally challenged), use food stamps, and need student loans to support your children. With Kate, it's just...augh! I heard during an interview that she said to her baby-sitter, "I wish I had your job." Well, you can! Go home and be a mom! You certainly have enough money now to support them fine!

I just think its sad that she feels she NEEDS a million dollar home, a body guard, new hair every month, the gym, she had work done right after the kids, she goes to spas, designer clothes bags and shoes, etc etc etc. She says she needs to do DWTS for the kids and everything for the kids, but of everything I listed above what was for the kids? She is trying to live like she is Angelina Jolie for Pete's Sake!
Kate is living WAY beyond her means, she could have stayed in their 2nd house but she needed the million dollar home. I feel that many single moms struggle and Kate does not know the meaning of that but cries during every interview about how hard her life is.
And as a PP said, my fiance's Dad was the youngest of 15! Their house was smaller than Kate's 2nd home and they did it, many families were like this in our society 30+ years ago.

Yep this is how I feel about Kate too.. I mean IF she was to down size it wouldn't be THAT bad. I mean come on, those kids aren't going to care in the slightest that they don't live on a million dollar home or have the most expensive everything like MOM does.

i think her husband is free.. and what is wrong with him parenting them while she was off dancing and on book tours.. it just bugged me when the news would talk about them and it made it seem like he shouldnt even be in the same state with his kids , if she isnt there and he is willing to be there during her outing then why not...

they both had there kids for fame and and money and i think the borders on abuse..

Jon said he had the kids for 14 straight days and there are pics of him with them on Easter, so I assume he has had the kids at times when Kate is gone. Who knows how much he is with them.

The more everyone posts about them, the more threads all over the internet about them, the more likely you are to continue to see them. Bad or good, any type of exposure is good for them.
DWTS seems to think she was good for them, because if people liked her or not, ratings were way up, the most ever. I'm interested in seeing what happens to the ratings now.

Kate loves attention, she wants to continue in show biz, she's happy with the lifestyle she has. All the attention she gets (good or bad) will keep that going. The only way any show of hers will make it is if people watch it. If people watch it enough to keep the advertisers happy, then we'll continue to see her.

Kate herself doesn't bother me at all, however, I'd like to see all of the shows with children not old enough to decide if it's right for them to be on TV limited to specials only..but as long as people watch, they will continue to be on.

Octomom..she's just not all together there.

I'm guessing that just about everything you have listed was either paid for, or highly supplimented by TLC and advertisers. We know the belly was fixed at no charge by Haley's father, and after every segment of their show, clothing places were thanked.

I'm happy to see her working now. I wish her lots of success. Enough so the kids don't have to start taping again.
