I refuse to watch either show. From what I've read about Kate, Jon did her a favor by going off the deep end thus making her look like the nicer person/parent. Octomom is just insane.

I know what you mean about the fawning. Seeing someone interview Kate saying she's beautiful makes me want to gag. Not because I think she's ugly, but because they're kissing her rear end.

Anyone who turns their children into a public spectacle for their own gain (either money or fame) should be ashamed of themselves. Most of the words I would use to describe either of the people mentioned in the OP would end in a lot of starts and points.

I don't know if I would go that far, but Kate drives me crazy and the Octomom has mental problems. IMO.

I find Octomom irresponsible. She was a single mom with 6 kids, a few with disabilites and not only did she choose to have more children, but she had implanted enough embryos that greatly increased her chances of having mutiples. I am sure she loves her kids, but I don't see how she can give all of them that care that they need.

Honestly, from what I've seen Kate isn't abnormal. Her OCD, her bad relationships, bad dancing, and working away from home for periods of time don't make her evil IMO. While she might not be mother of the year, every mom has imperfections, Kate's have just been played out publicly. I haven't seen enough of Nadia to guess. My hope is that, despite appearing to be a lunatic, she loves her kids and is good to them.

The problem with Octomom--is she went to a fertility clinic where a fertility doctor overstepped his....code of ethics and implanted mom with lots of babies when she already had 6 at home and was already on welfare.

To me--Kate may be not the brightest tool in the shed for doing her fertility treatments (which I Believe was not surgically implanted embryos--but NOT positive) in the manner she chose...

But to deliberately implant 8 babies when you CAN'T take care of the 6 at home on your own...

Is what earns Octomom the title of biggest idiot on the planet.

Kate is just the biggest witch on the planet.

But IMHO--it is how they got their babies that differentiates them.

Octomom's doctor should NOT have a license to practice.

Octomom's stupidity is also why she is getting a home foreclosed on and folks are uninterested in her. She tries to claim she is better than Kate....but her babies have been featured in a tv series overseas.

Agreed. And it's not as if they're great mothers just because of the number of kids they have. My mom's parents raised 8 kids and my dad's mom raised 16 kids.

I just wish the press would stop stalking her so that we can all get a break from Kate. I am sick and tired of her being shoved in our faces when the majority of us could care less. She "thinks" she's a star but get real.

I just think its sad that she feels she NEEDS a million dollar home, a body guard, new hair every month, the gym, she had work done right after the kids, she goes to spas, designer clothes bags and shoes, etc etc etc. She says she needs to do DWTS for the kids and everything for the kids, but of everything I listed above what was for the kids? She is trying to live like she is Angelina Jolie for Pete's Sake!
Kate is living WAY beyond her means, she could have stayed in their 2nd house but she needed the million dollar home. I feel that many single moms struggle and Kate does not know the meaning of that but cries during every interview about how hard her life is.
And as a PP said, my fiance's Dad was the youngest of 15! Their house was smaller than Kate's 2nd home and they did it, many families were like this in our society 30+ years ago.

Thank you, I feel this way about all the television families. From Jon and Kate, to the Duggar's, to the Little People. I don't watch any of them and I think what they do boarders on abuse. And Octomom is just loony. Saw her on Opera yesterday (was it yesterday?) and she's just batty.
