I am renting points from someone (she's out of town so I can't contact her right now, but I was hoping to get an answer today) but we are most likely going to have to cancel (leaving on Wednesday, DH can't walk...long story). We've been going back and forth for a week or so (myself and DVC owner) and I'm not quite clear on the way this works.
If we cancel, it goes into a holding account, right? What is the policy on reusing the points? Is changing the dates the same thing as cancelling? She tried to reschedule for me for a few weeks from now, but nothing was available in any DVC property the dates I wanted (only focused on one set of dates last week, I was still counting on going on Wed, but it was a just in case scenario).
I know there is something about using within 60 days, or after 60 days? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm going to be able to re-book anything. I have rented points from this person for several years, and she is such a sweetheart, I just don't want to inconvenience her, and I feel bad for having issues with our trip.
