Can someone explain how the package tickets work?

It is my understanding that if I get the dining package, the dining and 1-day ticket (my preference as I have an AP and had already ordered from Ticketmania before the new code came out) are all on your room key.

So, if that's the case-- do we need to get I.D.'ed/finger scanned and if so where? Are the tickets divvied up amongst the keys or tied to your particular name? Any chance my ds will be able to use mine since I have the AP? TIA!

The biometrics aren't done until the first time you enter a park.

The only problem with trying to have your son use your ticket is that because it is an adult ticket, it will require a biometric scan, whereas children age 9 and younger don't have to do the biometric scan.

I don't think it should be a problem though. Just explain the situation to the cast member, and they should let you through.

So are the tickets essentially transferrable before using for the first time? or do they have to be in the name on the room key?

Snacky, thanks for your response. You are amazing-- and always so helpful!DS is 12 so he will have an adult ticket as well. I am not trying to scam anyone, just trying to understand what's allowed and what isn't, and whether I should bother getting the package since the tickets are not likely to be used for a VERY long time. Here is another scenario: Dh and ds both have 10 day hoppers which we will use again in Feb (only going for 3 days this trip and 3-4 in Feb). My AP will expire 1/2. Can I use their 1-day tix in Feb? I know I can't apply all of them to a new AP. The talk way back when about "family" scans is what makes me ask.
