Can someone explain EMH to me??

I was reading the thread about the June hours being extended and trying to updtae my itinerary accordingly. We are planning to do the pm EMH's as we are NOT early risers (at least the kids aren't). Anyone, the WDW site says "up to 3hours". How late are the parks open? If MK is open to midnight, how much later for EMH? What about AK? Are they open 3hours later than scheduled? I am so confused HELP!

When we were there in April, the MK regularly closed at 12 am, but on EMH night, it stayed open till 3 am. The same was true for the other parks...3 hours past reg. closing time. I think that AK's reg. closing is fairly early though, so EMH for it makes it like the closing times for the other parks on regular nights. Plus...we didn't do EMH at AK, but I hear that many things aren't open for EMH there.

I think it varies per season. In the high season the PM EMH are 3 hours and in low they are 1 or 2 hours. AM EMH are always 1 hour.

So far this year they have been 3 hours regardless of season. We were there the first week of February, Value Season, and the evening EMHs were all 3 hours long, though we didn't do any of them.

By stating that they are 'up to 3 hours' Disney is leaving the door open to shorten them in the future, though, should they so choose.
