Here is the deal. Myself, dd and a friend and her dd are staying on property for a couple of days. Now I am 6 months pregnant and pretty sure I won't be able to go on most of the rides at I of A. My friend loves thrill rides, and so does my husband, he is not traveling with us, but he might possibly be able to drive over for the day we are at I of A. So my question is, if he drives over for the day, can he use my room key as an express pass for himself so he will be able to go on rides with the rest of our group, because as I said before, I will probably not be using it much if at all. Thanks for your help, we have been to disney many times, but never to U/I of A.

This is one of the ONLY times I have to DISAGREE with DM. I would NOT recommend him using your room key!!!! Not only is YOUR name/age/date on the key, they DO often check at the rides. I wouldn't risk it. If I were you'd and your DH comes over, I would just have him buy the express pass book.

I don't think I'd risk it !!

The other thing I just thought of............ If your DH is coming over I assume he'll be staying with you at your resort............ so, just add him to your reservation.......... I'd assume if you let the hotel know he is coming, just not "checking in" with , they would probably issue him his own key............ since he will be coming later in your trip. It wouldn't hurt to find out from your resort... either way, I'd add his name to your reservation.

Then you shouldn't have a problem, and he'd have his own room key for fotl. ;)

Hey Wendypooh... I just basically posted the same answer on the Universal hotel board......on the post that is there with the same question.... it would be much easier & safer...not having to worry if he can or can't use it by adding his name to the ressie:)

They already have two adults in the room so it would be an additional charge.

OH............ I didn't realize she was sharing a room with someone else!!!! Well, I guess she'd have to find out what the charge is, then see which one is cheaper............ adding another to the room, or the express pass book.

Either way, I wouldn't "share" my card, just in case it should happen to terminate her entire parties fotl priv.

Good Luck!!

We bought an Express pass and it was $26, in case that helps any. It was DEFINITLY worth it too!

Isn't it only $25 to add an extra person to your room?? If so, I'd do that. Cheaper than the express plus pass and he can have FOTL all day over and over.
