I've never been on Cat in the Hat ride. Seems like there was a sign warning about motion sickness. Is this for real? Or is the ride tame? I can ride Buzz Lightyear at MK (car spins a little) and Men In Black was ok (although I didn't much care for the spinning at the end - it was still tolerable).

Any thoughts?

It is not any rougher than MIB. I have walked off of that all discumbobulated.

If you ask the ride op, you can go in a non-spinning car. The ride does spin considerably. Although MIB will make me sick if I ride it multiple times in a row, CITH has not made me sick.

I agree with the previous posters. If you can take MIB, CITH shouldn't be a problem. My 2 yo DD rode CITH three times in a row last month without a problem.

CITH spins more than MIB, and I have come off of it feeling mildly woozy. If you get motion sick easily, you can do like damo said, and request that your car not spin.

If I lean slightly forward during the spin in MIB, I do not feel as dizzy. Thus I am able to ride MIB as many times in a row as I like. And I like! I have never had a problem with the spinning in CITH though.

Definitely don't miss this ride. It is absolutely wonderful. Lots of fun for the whole family.

I don't do well with any rides that spin! I found the Cat In the Hat ride to bother me way more than MIB did, but that could just be that I was so intent on beating my family in MIB that I was too busy to get sick! Seriously, I wore my Sea Band wristies and they helped a lot. I was discombobulated after Cat in the Hat but not nauseous.

I'll have to try the Sea Bands next time. CITH did me in! I asked for the "non-spin" ride the first time, and made the mistake of saying "how bad can it be?" the 2nd time. On MIB, I found that if I sat in the back seat that when the ride does it big spins, I pressed my head against the back to control the "loopy" feelings.

The thing I dislike about MIB is the fog. That adds insult to injury for those who wear glasses. I barely get them cleaned and back on in time to make fun of the other car's pitiful score.

If these rides get to you DO NOT attempt Mission Space!!

I hate the fog as well. The warm fog mixed with the spinning can really do me in.

CITH surprised me when it spun---definately more jerky than MIB...though still fun--just need to hold on tight!!

This is definately a jerky ride. If you are with kids, give it a try as is so they can enjoy. If not, request a non spinning car if you are prone to motion sickness. It is a cute, fun ride, but can make you queezy, especially after all the other motion rides.
