Can someone confirm how much double stroller rental is in each park?

Hi,

This is from allearsnet:

Stroller rentals cost (prices current as of April 2008):

At the theme parks and Downtown Disney:

Single or infant (newborn to 9 months) strollers: $15/day (no deposit) or purchase $13/day length of stay rental.

Double strollers: $31/day (no deposit) or purchase $27/day length of stay rental.

Reservations are not accepted. If you want to visit more than one park in a given day, retain your stroller receipt and present it at the second park to obtain another stroller at no additional cost.

It is $31 and I was worried about my DD6 making it thru the parks, she does not like walking at all but did fine. We did rent a double the day we were running thru Epcot and DHS same day, it was a lot of walking and knew it would be too much for the kids to last all day, she shared it with DS8 and they were :crowded: but not complaining.

I was going to rent a double every day but not at over $30 a day. I'm definitely bringing a couple umbrella strollers for my boys as $300+ for renting strollers during our stay eats a nice chunk of our "fun" money.

Am I the only one that finds this rate ridiculously high?

No - you are right -that rate is ridiculously high IMO. I'm renting a double from Orlando Stroller Rental for $85 for the week. It's much bigger than the new doubles they have and so much cheaper.

HOLY COW! $31 per day? :crazy2:

When are you going? I am participating in a great stroller swap for a double stroller. The cost for the week is less than a day for a WDW stroller and it is much more comfortable for the lil' ones. The link is in my signature if you're interested!

You should look into the stroller swap I mentioned in my previous post. I see you are going in February and I know there are plenty of dates that they are looking to fill between February and March. Most people in the swap use them for their 5, 6, 7, and 8 yo's so they are big enough and comfortable enough for that.

Thanks for the info about the stroller swap. I'm going to go look at it now.:)

Where do you sign up for the double stroller swap?

At the bottom of this post you will see in red writing a statement about a stroller swap with Feb. dates available...after that there will be a link. Click on that link and then post the dates you are interested in and the OP who has kept the swap running and organized will pm you information.

As michaels mom stated there is a great swap for the double strollers. I will be trying it out in April, and you can read some of the posts of people who already used the strollers.

I'm sorry I just don't see the link in your signature for the stroller swap...is it just me? we are going in May anybody know of any swaps for that time?

We are renting again from OSR in March as well. Their strollers are the best for Disney and you don't have to worry about them being clean when you get it. We used them last August and it was great. The swaps have gross out written all over it for me. It sounds like the strollers have issues from time to time as well which is not something I want to deal with and they are not anywhere near the quality of the OSR strollers. OSR has received awesome reviews on here from many. Oh well, back to laundry :laundy:

thanks-see it now:rotfl: my dates aren't available-:sad1: oh well thanks anyway

Occasionally people back out so you could PM the OP and put your name on backup...but, if you go to the budget boards there will be a thread for stroller swaps. There are about 7 swaps running so you may find luck there if you don't have any luck with the Royal Carriage.

We bought a Joovy Caboose off of Craigslist for $60. My boys are younger, though (almost 3 and almost 5), so we will continue to use it at other outings, not just for WDW. I didn't want to lug our huge graco double stroller to DW, so I stalked craigslist for a while until one came up that I liked. --Katie

Is there a link for these strollers? Do you have to go somewhere to pick them up, or do they deliver to your resort?
TIA
