Can someone clarify for me one more time?

Guys,

I aplogize, I really do, I know this has been asked 100's (if not 1000's of times).

AP rates came out today (excellent). I can make a reservation without actually having the AP, as long as I have the AP at checkin (not the voucher, but the actual AP, right)?

I did get a 'coveted' postcard, but the rates expire about a month too early for us to use, but the AP rates are about the same.

SO, what do you all think:

Book the AP rate and then if another non-AP rate comes out, switch it, or call CRO and see what the chances are of getting my postcard extended?

To buy an AP would actually be spending more money, since we will be offsite for a week (for free!) and then onsite for 5 days.

Someone please point me in the right direction. DH just keeps saying 'Whatever you want to do dear'. (Sweet, but I need some guidance)

I would book with the AP rate and then wait to see if a code comes out. You don't need the AP until check in. I've even had the voucher at check in, but have never had to show it. I've heard others have had the voucher, but came back to show they activated the pass later.

I don't know if CRO has ever extended a postcard rate, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask. The worst they could say is no.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I recieved a post card but it expires the end of the year and we are going in Feb. I made my reservations with an AP rate. The AP will costs me about 160 bucks more than a regular 4-day park hopper. If I can get a code for about the same and not have to buy the AP I will. Other wise I guess I will have to plan a late 03 trip too.
