use a regular ticket at two parks without it being a hopper, but just getting charged with a 2nd admission? In other words, if I have a 5 day pass but only am going to parks 4 days can I used the 5th admission on the last night to go to a different park for fireworks?

Unfortunately not. (I tried this myself years ago.) If you want two parks in the same day it has to be a Park Hopper (or two different tickets).

Thank you. How annoying.

Annoying, yes. But it speaks to the manner in which Disney prices its tickets. You pay about $80 each for Days 1-3 on a MYW base ticket. Then for Days 4-10 Disney only charges about $8-9 per day. Their goal is to encourage guests visit the parks 4+ days.

If they allowed you to double-up by using more than one admission day on a single calendar day, the pricing structure would be much different. That's why they charge a premium for the park hopper feature.

Thanks, Tim. I understand....I only say it's annoying b/c we are going to be there this weekend, and I told my two sisters not to buy a hopper. They bought 5 day passes, but only really have 4 days to go to the parks. So they have an extra day that they won't be using. We are supposed to to with a large group to AK on Saturday, but have a large reservation at San Angel in Epcot.....so therein lies the problem. We either try to get all these people to go to Epcot (which they want to avoid until Monday b/c of F&W), or we cancel our ADR and try to find a place that will take 15 people as a walk up!

I told them not to buy the hopper to save money, and was probably right in that this would be the only day they would use it.

I need a super secret 1 day hopper add-on. Do they exist?

Only if you have a 1 day ticket!

For multi-day tickets, you buy hopping for a flat fee of about $55 and it covers all days, whether you have a 2 day ticket or a 10 day ticket.

I believe if they go to guest services and explain they could pay the difference and switch to a 4 day with hopper from the 5 day without hopper which will cost more.

I doubt if any place will have availability for 15 for a walk up.

A 5 day base ticket is $267.

A 4 day hopper is $259 + 55 = $314.

I agree the OP could probably do this since it costs more.
