This is our first trip using the DDP we are staying at CBR,free dinning, so 1 table, 1 snack, 1 quick serve/day/person. We are staying for 10 nights, but 2 days we are going to Universal. Am I correct in assuming that with the DDP, the meal credits are ours and we are free to do with them what we want? I'm thinking we'll have 2 days of at least either a quick serve or a table service meal since we won't be at Disney, and I was hoping(thinking) we can use them to either go to a table for breakfast and dinner one day, or get a meal worth 2 credits.

If that is true, and suggestions as how to best use our credits? Thanks:surfweb: time to get our ADRs done.

I'll leave the suggestions to people smarter than me, but you're right about the credits. You could use them all on one day if you wanted!

As long as you are paying for those 10 nights at Disney, then yes if you are gone for 2 days you still have 2 days worth of credit to use up at some point.

If you have 2 packages booked though, like going to Disney for 4 days, packing up and leaving and going to Universal for 2 days then a new package at Disney for 4 days then no you do not have more credit

Yes you can use all your credits any way you want to. I think the smartest way to use the "extra ones" left over since you will spend two days in Universal would be to use the 2 TS credits at a signature dining experience and the 2CS credits for breakfasts..

You will definitely have those left over to use. However, just so you know, a counter service (quick service) is still a quick service no matter what. You can't trade those in for a table service.

So, if you have 2 days worth of dining credits extra, you can combine your table services to be a signature if you want, but you will still have to use your quick service as quick service. I hope that makes sense.

Suggestions where to use? Oh so many...heh.

I think you could maybe do a character breakfast another day and still have a table service for dinner, which would be nice. Crystal Palace is probably my favorite - especially an early reservation that gets you in MK before it opens.

As for signature restaurants, people rave about Narcosse's on here, but I have found it very hit-or-miss. One time I went, I loved it. Another, hated it. We will not be going there on our upcoming trip. My favorite signature so far has been California Grill...the tuna 3-ways appetizer, alone, was amazing.

Have fun!

Excellent, thanks. We are there all 10 days~ DH really wants to see Harry Potter, so figured we'd go there as well, I already booked the free dining, but if we were going to lose the food, I'd check to see if the room only discount would serve us better, but we will definitely use them all.

I would go to the HDDR. It uses 2 TS credits and is lots of fun. As for using up your CS credits, you only get one per day so if you used one for breakfast and one for lunch you would use those up pretty fast. I wouldn't have an issue using up extra credits at all! It would be lots of fun. We usually eat breakfast in our room with cereal or oatmeal brought from home. It would be really easy to use CS for that instead. :)

Just remember that the food credits you get are per night. So, if you are staying 10 nights, then you will get 10 TS, 10 CS, and 10 snack credits to be used in anyway that you want.

However, if you are staying 10 days but only 9 nights, you will get 9 TS, 9CS, and 9 snacks.

You definitely won't lose any food credits so adding an extra breakfast on the same day you have a dinner is perfectly fine.

Have a great trip!
