I know you can at QS, since I've done it. But I was wondering about adults ordering kids-size meals at TS resturaunts. Here's why: I'm often solo and the meals are so large! I hear stories of a couple ordering a meal and splitting it, but when I'm solo, I can't share, and often end up only eating about half my meal. At home, I just reached "senior citizen" status and occassionally find a resturaunt offering senior meals, smaller servings, less money. But what does a solo senior do at WDW short of leaving a lot of food uneaten (but paid for).

Most (well, all) of this information is 2nd hand from being a regular over on the restaurant forums for the past 3 years, so fair warning.

At most Disney-owned restaurants, they seem not to care who orders a kids meal (adults or kids). This is pretty commonly done by many over there, ages ranging from just over the typical kids' meal range to "grown ups". There has been some pushback at the non-Disney owned restaurants recently though (namely Hacienda de San Angel and Via Napoli... interestingly enough, San Angel Inn has been fine with adults ordering kids' meals....and they're owned by the same company as Hacienda... /shrug).

The best bet will be to ask when you get there as it could totally depend on the manager working that day. This doesn't help a whole heck of a lot for planning, but it's not something that's been entirely consistent unfortunately.

You can also see if they will give you half the serving for half the price :)
