Can points in holding be transferred??

Hi

Not sure where to post this but need to know if points in holding can be transferred to a fellow DVC owner. It's only 7:55am here so MS doesn't open for some time.

I don't think they can but you could make a reservation on behalf of the DVC member but again it would have to be within 60 days of the check in date from what I understand.

I've read posts where people stated that they can be transferred but retain their status as holding points in the recipient's account.

It's also stated that way in the Points Transfer Rules 101 thread. It's an old thread so some of the information may have changed, for example the current enforcement of the "one transfer per Use Year" rule.

It certainly would be worth a phone call to MS. I was told by a CM at MS that holding points are NOT transferable, but I guess that does not necessarily mean anything because I was also told at another time that transfered points cannot be banked. I assume that the holding points would have to be current use year points.

They can be transferred but are supposed to keep the same status and UY though sometimes they do not.
