Can people NOT staying AKL Concierge take part in the Wanyama Safari? Opinions on it?

Is my mind playing tricks on me, or did I just read recently that either right now or in the near future, non-concierge AKL guests can/will be able to participate in the Wanyama (evening) Safari, albeit for a higher price than concierge guests? Could any of you either confirm or deny this for me? I thank you, very much, in advance! :) Also, I wasn't sure that this was the correct place to post this, so if it's in the wrong place, I apologize. Thanks again!!

Wanyama Safari Information:

The Wanyama Safari begins at 4:00 PM with a 1.5 hour safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge that resembles an African afternoon game drive. Guests will learn about the natural history and management of the animals and the architecture of the resort. Guests will be able to view the animals at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which include giraffe, zebras, gazelle, and other hoofed animals and birds. After the safari portion is done, guests will dine at Jiko for a multi-course meal at around 5:30 PM. It is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. It is $210.00 per non-concierge guests (ages 10 and older), $110.00 per non-concierge guests (ages 8 to 9), $160.00 per concierge guests (ages 10 and older), and $80.00 per concierge guests (ages 8 to 9). All guests must be at least 8 years of age.

To attend this safari all guests must be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The safari takes place on savannahs at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This can be booked by Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge itinerary planning office or concierge staff.

Thanks, vmickey and raven69david! Wow. That'd be $420.00 for the both of us. Of course, it sounds tremendously fun, and we were already most definitely planning on doing dinner at Jiko (and what a way this would be to really do dinner at Jiko!). But we also wanted, if at all possible, to book an Illuminations cruise, or a Wishes cruise (which we've done before... Wishes, that is), and we were thinking about taking in La Nouba, and none of those things is exactly cheap. Hmm. I'll definitely have to ponder this one a bit. Anyone who has done the Wanyama Safari before, how was it? How was the multi-course meal at Jiko?

Ask again. We're booked to do this December 1. :)
