Can our friends visit us at SSR?

Gee, now that I think about it, one year while my friends visited, we went swimming! And we had a great time. :thumbsup2

I'm gonna tell. :teeth:

I've got to fess up too. Mom & Dad sat at my table by the pool at BCV while DS swam on Memorial Day weekend. There. I feel better now.

:rotfl2: Yeah, I read that post too. I loved it. He specifically takes the chairs that are reserved ignoring the empty ones!
Because they are the BEST :rotfl2: . I will have to remember that. I cannot stand chair hogs!

Our friends will be staying at Shades of Green the same week we'll be at SSR. Will they be able to visit us? What will they need to have or do to get on SSR property? Or is there something we'll need to do?

Hi, My Mom and Dad pull a trailer and stay at FW. We just let the gates know ahead of time they are coming and have not had a problem. It's a great way for us to spend time together!! ( and we don't have to take kids to a kids club and get home early from a night out)
Our parents did not stay overnight as they like thier own bed and do eat with us. We did this prior to SSR at POR and plan to do this many times in the future as my folks go away alot through the winter and we don't see much of them. Great for our kids too!!
We have friends staying off property in March, we are at BC, so we are meeting at Capr May Cafe for Breakfast!!

I have no fundamental problem with guests just meeting up or visiting. What I do have a problem with is the guests visiting the pool or spending the night exceeding the occupancy limits for the booked room. Wrist bands would solve the pool problem. My stance would then change and to the OP I would have said "yes your guests are welcome".

OP, sorry if my and others posts have offended. I cannot say that you are going to bring your guests to the pool.

Now someone stated that maybe I'd be happier owning my own condo or house where I can set the rules. Fair enough, but I bought into a program where, call me crazy, I did not foresee dealing with pool hoppers and hoards of "guests". I follow the rules as stated and I guess I expected others to also.

Maybe those wanting guests are the ones who should have bought there own house or condo not me. :teacher:

We have guests all the time. How mean-spirited to say your friends can't come join you for a drink or dinner in your room!

The ugliness on this board never ceases to amaze me.

I've been a member for over 10 years, and I've never seen the OKW pools packed. We don't have folks into the pools unless they fit into our occupancy limit, but really, I think it's a non-issue.

The security thing is RIDICULOUS! It's a public place for heaven's sake, with public restaurants.
