Can One Trip be Split into Two Reservations (to Get the Dining Plan)?

We will be travelling to the World this summer, and will start off as part of a business trip on a convention rate. After the first four days, business will be over, and we're planning on switching to a different resort and paying rack rates (unless I get lucky with a code!) for the rest of the time. Here's my question: I know that we won't be able to do the DDP with the convention rate, but can CRO split up our reservations so that we can use it the second half of the trip? Or, would that require us to but tickets two separate times -- a four-day pass for the business portion, and another four-day pass for the "leisure" portion -- which make the ticket price go way up? We'd really like to be able to do the Dining Plan.

Has anyone been able to do this? It's is our first time to stay on-property :cool1: so I'm not sure what's do-able. TIA!

You only need a one day ticket to get the dining plan. That still increases your cost but probably not as much.

You can do it, but you should see if you can get 7 day passes right at the start as they are good for 14 days from first use. Then, when you check into the next hotel just get one day passes so you can get the dining plan.

The MYW tickets are less expensive the more days you buy so, in the long run this will be less expensive for you.

Hope that helped a little.

I agree with the PP's. You will have to get at least a one day ticket in order to participate in the Dining Plan on the leisure portion of your trip. It would have to be a new reservation for your remaining nights, and you could possibly have to move to a new room at the start of the Leisure portion of your visit (Check out and Check In again). When you first check in be sure to tell them of the second reservation, as they may be able to tie the two together, eliminating the move.
Have a great trip

Just make sure your tickets are bought with the first ressie. You will not be able to use anything from the second ressie until that check-in date. this includes any tickets or the dining plan.

So i would do a 7 or even 8 day MYW pass for the first stay (you can even add the days if it's just a 4 day). Then do a 1 day on the second.

Now this is where I'm not 100% but you should be able to save that 1 day as long as you don't use it . Then you could upgrade that as well on another trip

Thanks, everybody, for the good advice! I wanted to see what the DIS experts had to say before I talked to CRO!
