Can one of these be done in half day - MK/Epcot

By half day I mean around 4/5 PM to midnight thanks to EMH. Both parks on EMH open until midnight right? I looked and it seems like Epcot - one of the "lands" closes at 7 - does it stay open for EMH?

Sorry, working on itinerary here.... Have stuff set and trying to squeeze in a lot. Please just choose between these two parks here. MK or Epcot - I know they are the largest, but we will try

You def could not get the entire MK done in one day. As for Epcot I would also say no to that b/c it is my favorite park! There is a possibility of getting most of it done, but it would really depend on the lines. AK and the water parks are def a half day, but the other parks are full days!

It really depends on whether you have kids with you and what it is you're trying to see. If you're interested in shows and parades at MK, for example, you won't see many of those if you're in the park from 4pm-midnight. The afternoon parade is at 3pm, and most of the stage shows will only have one showing during that time frame, having completed most of their shows earlier in the day. If you don't care about the shows, and are just after the rides, then it will depend on how many things you really feel you want to do. If, for example, you don't like roller coasters and only want to see the "classic" rides like Snow White, Pan, Pooh and Haunted Mansion, you can certainly see what you want to see in the amount of time you have. If you're trying to do everything -- or most everything -- however, you won't be able to. There's just too much ground to cover. Even though it'll be less busy than during the day, you'll still encounter lines, and chances are you won't have access to FastPass as readily, since either all the passes will have been pulled earlier in the day for return times at night, or they'll close down the machines for the EMH.

Epcot may be easier to do in that amount of time, but you'll definitely need to keep track of which attractions and World Showcase pavilions close when. Much of WS is closed during EMH, so you'll have to be certain to get all that done first, if those are important to you. And you'll run into the same FastPass situation I talked about at MK.

I myself, don't think there are any 1/2 day parks in Disney World. I could not imagine only spending 1/2 a day in any of the parks, there is so much to see and do.
You miss so much by not taking your time and checking out everything. Just my opinion, but I won't go to Disney unless I have a whole week to spend there. I know, not everyone can go for a week at a time, but we only go about every 4 to 5 years. so we make them longer trips.
My advice if you only have 1/2 day is to check out some of the smaller attractions, that not everyone goes to. You have less crowds to deal with and you get to see some great things that most people don't even realize are there. Go off the main sidewalks and check out some hidden "treasures". Have a great trip!

Well, if by "done" you mean can you do/see everything in the park, the answer is no. But you can make a list of priorities and determine what attractions are open during EMH (since apparently not all are open then) so you can do them at that time. If something isn't open during EMH, and you really want to do it, you'll have to do it during regular park hours. Do you have little children? If not, you could skip much of Fantasyland, though Philharmagic is definitely a "do not miss" and Pooh, Small World, and Peter Pan are great, even for adults.

Epcot is a larger park and you'd have much more ground to cover in less time. You could do many things in MK if you prioritize attractions and have a good plan. I also doubt you'd be able to utilize FastPass well late in the day. Have you been to WDW before? By the way, don't know your dates, but EMH would only be open till midnight (or later) on a night it closes at 9pm or later. If you're going off season and MK closes at 6pm, it would probably only be open till 9pm...

It's me and my DH - we are 26 years old. We'll be there in May. I think in MK we want to see Wishes, Pirates, Space Mt, Splash Mt, Teacups, Stitch, Haunted Mansion, Small World. Epcot we want to see Illuminations, Mission Space, Soarin, Test Track, and just walk around the countries. I checked the calendar and both parks close at 9 PM normally. I was thinking it probably would be best to take advantage of the EMH at least. But if a lot of Epcot is closed during EMH evenings would that really be worth it? I could switch things around a bit and do Epcot on a regular day when it closes at a normal time.

Maybe I could do this instead???

Also, I want to do Fantasmic Dinner and the reservations were at 4PM we originally made for Monday. How long does BB take - we could do it and be done by around 1PM.

Of course that would cut Epcot from noon to 9, but at least I won't be trying to shove a water park and Epcot in the same day right? At least that's almost a full day... and MK a full day on the extra magic hour day. Any advice on that - wouldn't it be too much to be at MK from say when it opens until midnight? I guess it's ideal to take an afternoon break and go back to the hotel (you can do that right without a hopper pass?).

we spend 2 days in MK and EPCOT. We love both those parks. But, we usually spend 1/2 days in MGM and AK.

Given the things you say you want to do at Epcot, if you went there on an EMH night you would probably be able to get all of that done between 4pm and midnight.

I'd say forget about that kind of thinking...it won't happen! Just pick the park you will enjoy to be at! You can't go wrong!
