Can MS combine my 2 reservations?

I know they can, have had it done when adding a day or 2 many times. I am now on hold for 30 min while the cm said a "special team" has to do it. She said she has been there 6 yrs, this is how its done.

I always thought they put it in a :hold: while combining.

Does his seem correct?

I've had them have a supervisor do the combining but it's never taken 30 minutes.

I once had 3 separate reservations that they automatically combined when the last night needed became available by waitlist.

The more reservations you combine the longer it seems to take them to process. I call if they haven't taken care of it automatically because I watch the account as they are processing it. If a green CM tries to do it they run the risk of losing part or all of your reservation. I think the last one I had them combine was three separate confirmation #'s. They need to be careful so you don't end up with points in holding or borrowed form another UY when they didn't need to be. I had a wait list come through that they were suppose to use another reservation for but they borrowed points so I needed to have them fix the error. It took them a good 15-20 minutes to fix. It also gets messy when there's a combo of banked & borrowed points on the reservation. That's why they have a "Special Team" do the combining.

I had two reservation combined into one travel plan on Thurs and it was almost instantaneous. In the past I've always had to wait several minutes while they combined them so I was surprised how fast it was done. I kept asking "Are you sure they're now one travel plan?" Sure enough, they were.

Not all MS CM's can hold inventory while they make changes. Managers, select senior, team line, and member satisfaction has the ability to hold. If combining requires holding inventory to make the change then that explains the occasional delays.
