Can Mom not eat at Character breakfast?

I've reserved a Lilo and Stitch breakfast for 6 of us - 4 kids, 2 adults. I do Weight Watchers and plan to eat a bowl of cereal in the room before we go, but everyone else will be eating. Will they let me not pay for the breakfast if I don't eat but still attend with the kids? If so, do I need to let them know in advance?

Sorry, but this isn't an option. There is simply a set charge per-person to attend a character breakfast, regardless of whether you eat or not.... My heartfelt advice would be to see if there's a way you can have a bigger breakfast using WW points in such a way that you could then "make it up" at lunch and/or dinner.

Thanks, Bleeps. Since I know that is the case, I'll plan to do as you suggested and lay off lunch. Breakfast is the meal it will be easiest for me to eat healthy since we'll be in the room, but I know I'll have to make adjustments.

Can you eat b'fast at a later time like 10:00 or so and eat your cereal at 6:30? That way, O'hana's is actually lunch.

Good idea, Carrie, but I like to do Disney in Commando mode (especially in morning.) This means we are at the gate when it opens and stay in the parks until it get really crowded before returning to hotel, etc. We have our breakfast scheduled by 7:30 (kids get up at 6:00 anyway) on a day the MK opens at 9:00.

You may be surprised what you can actually eat there and stay OP. I'm sure there will be an assortment of cereals (cheerios, other no-sugar choices), skim milk and fruit. As well as scrambled eggs. You should do fine at bkfst with a lite lunch somewhere else (salad, etc)...

Unless things have changed, you can pay an "entertainment" fee. I think it was $5 or $7. However, you can't eat anything, not even the kids leftovers. Ask when you get there..you may be surprised.

If you go, explain the situation to the cast members there, and I'm sure the chef would be more than happy to fix you something else (as they do for people with special dietary needs, etc). They probably have granola/cereal in the back.

I'd recommend just calling to find out!

I went to Crystal Palace with a group of friends and they allowed one friend to sit with us but not eat, she was charged $5.

At most character meals you can indeed just pay a small entertainment fee like some previous posters have said.

I think the policy is inconsistent. We had an early seating for Crystal Palace and my DH didn't want to eat. Because it was before park opening, he was just going to wait outside. Our server let him come in and sit at our table with no charge. First, I would call the restaurant and ask about meal options for yourself, then explain the situation and see what type of charge there would be.

We went in October and was told there was a $5 entertainment fee! Not a bad deal. We actually went into LTT for the MNSHP at friends table and they didn't charge us, but we weren't on the reservations and weren't in there for the entire meal. I WANTED to eat! The table was really for 4 but there happen to be a bench so with 2 kids aged 2 there was plenty of room. I agree with the just ask.

Hmmm, could this be yet another of the things that can be different by location/CM? I'd said "no" because in Dec. the couple in front of us waiting to check in at Chef Mickey's for breakfast was not allowed to do this -- one wanted to eat, the other didn't, and the CM nicely, but firmly, said no. Maybe it does vary by location? In any case, sounds like one of those good questions to ask when you book your ADR!

I have been to WDW 2 times on WW. Breakfast is always tricky. I always bring Kashi golean bars (Choc. Turtle roll) and they are 3 pts. but they fill me up for a good 3 hrs and I can pack them as a back up. I did so much walking at WDW that I gave myself extra points for activity. I also try to find individually packed lite salad dressings and pack those too. Some of the rest. out there don't offer lite alternatives. I know that when my kids were at Ohana's for dinner they got a kids meal and I think that the CM got it from the Kona rest. I bet that if you can find a low point alternative on the kona menu that they would get it for you but I think that you would pay the set price for the character breakfast. Don't be afraid to ask they really aim to please at the WDW restaurants.
