Can Member Services split a confirmed reservation so two different parties can use the reservation

I have a reservation for 3 nights in Oct. The person that wanted it wants it split it so she can use Oct 9 and link to her Disney reservation and let a family member have the other 2 nights to add to their reservation can member services split this? It is sold out I can't get another reservation

I believe that technically they can, but that they won't.

If there isn't an occupancy issue, and it's family, why not have them all on the reservation and let them use as they wish?

They are 2 families of 4 it's a studio the 1st person wants the 9th and link to her cash and the 2nd family wants the 10 and 11th linked to their cash Oct 12, 13 14 th

They can split dates and they have but some will refuse. Historically they have not been able to split a lockoff but this seems to have changes lately as well.
