Can making a reservation take any longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have spent nearly a 1/2 hour trying to make one reservation for a week and only had them check one resort now they don't mind b/c i'm paying for it!

I think in my perusal of the boards here I read something to the effect that WDW brought in something like 200 new reservationists. I know it doesn't help your phone bill any (I have a calling card that I use JUST for calling WDW when I'm ready to make a reservation) but it might explain why it's taking so long to look things up.

If it's REALLY starting to get to you, you might want to cut your losses, hang up and try again. You might get a seasoned castmember this time.

That is why I have always used my cell phone for Disney related stuff. I know with SOG reservations, it can take an average of 30 minutes on hold and that is when you are lucky. I have waited as long as 45 minutes or longer. As long as I am on my cell phone, I don't care how long it takes....unless I fall asleep and don't hear the reservationist on the other end

Thirty to forty-five minutes on hold while making a reservation?!?! That is madness!!!

Is making a reservation (can't call them "ressies" -- sorry) online an option for you?

I've never waited longer than five minutes on the phone to make or even change a reservation for WDW.

In recent weeks when I call to check/make reservations at Disney, I'm always stuck waiting on hold for at least 5-10 at a time while they search for the pricing for me. Whenever I've called, I'm on the phone a minimum of 15 minutes. I'm glad I'm a Disney Club member and can use a toll free number.

Wow, sorry to hear you had to be kept waiting for so long.

I've had no problems recently. I've called CRO three times over the past week and have gotten through in about 1 - 3 minutes time for all my calls. I've called Dining too and have gotten right on.

I think alot of how busy it is depends on what time of the day you call.

If you call during peak times, like evenings when people are getting home from work, or early morning before they go to work, or on weekends, when most are home from work, then it's busier.

Come to think of it, maybe we should stay home from work when we call for reservations!!

It took 30 minutes with one CM yesterday to book Simba's clubhouse and dinner at Jiko. She was new and had a lot of trouble booking Simba's. First, she booked it for the wrong date, then the wrong time and finally for the wrong number of kids. I was very patient and worked with her to get it right. LOL. I called back today to check on the reservations and was pleasantly surpriesed to find they were right.
