Can lanyard/pins be worn on plane?

My daughter and I just started collecting pins on our last trip to Disney, so when we go this December, we'll be taking our lanyards and pins to add to the collection.

My question is...can they be brought onto the plane, either worn, or in carry-on luggage? We'd kind of like to have them as soon as we land in Florida, but our checked luggage will be going with Magical Express, so we probably won't have it for awhile.

I would imagine that all the pins would probably not be allowed on the plane, but just thought I'd ask if anyone knew for sure.

If not, no big deal, we'll just put them in our checked luggage. Just thought it would be fun to wear them on the plane.

Thanks!

Do not ,I repeat Do NOT put them in checked luggage if you want to have them when you get home.I think some that are up on E-bay are from the baggage handlers having a field day .

Yes they are fine to have in your carry-on we normally have 30 to 60 traders with us each trip. As far as wearing them thats no problem either just have to take them off to go through the X-Ray but thats it.

Oh, that's good to know that you can wear them on the plane. I was afraid they might be considered potenital weapons or something!

I have always packed my pin bags in my carryon bags and I have also worn my lanyard onto the plane and I have never had any problems doing this. Sometimes they have been checked when going threw security and other times I have walked right threw without them saying anything to me.

They were in my carry on both trip down and return, no problems. No way would I put them in my checked. If they allow knitting needles, they will allow pins and lanyards.

Never had a problem wearing ours. As a matter a fact they are great conversation starters, and kids collecting will talk together quite nicely about them while flying.:yay:

Thanks again for all the responses everyone! I'm glad we'll be able to wear them right away.

I had forgotten knitting needles are allowed! That seems crazy to me...can't have a tweezers, but you can have knitting needles!
