...register for Kids club, Palo, excursions etc. when they check in at the resort? I was told that once you check in at the resort you are "done". Does this include all the "extras" on board?

In a word, NO..
When they say you are "done" when you check in at your resort, its meant your check-in for the ship. You don't have to get another KTTW card, or stand in any more lines to check in for the ship.
However, for Palo, the kids clubs, and the spa, you would have to do that once you get on the ship. Unles you have the REAS package, and then that is done ahead of time for you.
Hope this helped.

Okay....so, when I get to the ship, am I able to embark immediately and sign up for things onboard? :confused3

(Thanks for the answer, btw!)

I'm bumping this up b/c I'd like to know the answer too :earboy2: That would be nice if you don't have to check in at port as well. If that is the case what do you do when you get to port? I mean do you just wait for them to let you on the ship at that point? Thanks.

You're very welcome....

We used the DCL transportation from the resort to the terminal. When we got off the bus at about 1:15, we walked right on the ship...DS had his picture taken in the terminal with Pluto, and onto the ship we went. I hear now you can register your kids for the clubs right at the terminal now, or you can do it once you are onboard also. But we went right onboard, went to the buffet and checked out our rooms!!
It all depends on what time you arrive at the port. But yes, no additional check-in is required if you are doing the land/ sea package. And once you get on the ship, you can go and make your Palo and spa reservations.

Thank you so much Bethipooh4. Another mystery solved YEAH!! I honestly didn't think to ask that question and figured since the DCL transportation would get us there later than taking a Towncar (which we originally planned) that we wouldn't be able to board the ship until 2:30 or so :sad2: I really wanted this to be easy because it will only be my dd and myself. It couldn't be any easier than what you explained.

If you get to the port before boarding of the ship begins around noonish then you just wait in the boarding line. To avoid the boarding line just get to the ship anytime after 12:30 or so and you should be able to just walk right on.

Julie,
If you don't mind me asking, which resort are you staying at? We stayed at CBR, and spent the morning at the AK and took the bus to the port from there.
Beth

Hi Bethipooh4 - No I don't mind at all. We are staying at the Poly and I read on AllEars that they have a pick up in the lobby there at noon. They said to come around 11:30 and hang out and then at noon they would depart the Poly.

I know you didn't ask me  but we are staying at AKL. This is our first trip and I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

We are taking DCL transportation. Is there only ONE bus that leaves AKL? Does anyone know what time it would leave? We want to do breakfast at Boma on our last morning at AKL...

There used to be a bus that left the AKL later to allow for the character breakfast and some last-minute touring. Not sure if it still does.

The reason why I asked where you BOTH :earsgirl: were staying..lol
we stayed at the CBR and I wanted to tell you guys how it worked for us there. I know we were offered to go to a character breakfast at the AK on our departure morning, then we got picked up from there around noon after spending the morning at the AK. So I am not quite sure how it would work for you both. I know we were promptly picked up at noon and were at the port by around 1:15.
