Can KTTW card be used at snack stands, too?

We are just trying to evaluate our need for cash in the parks. Didn't know if the pretzel or ice cream stands took your KTTW card.

As far as I know they don't. I think they were working on a system for the carts but I do believe you will need cash for these.

Actually, some of them do take the KTTW card. I was behind someone at MGM that was using their KTTW card to buy ice cream at MGM near the information center. They use a wireless device to authorize the purchase on the KTTW card. The CM running the ice cream cart was having a heck of a time getting the wireless device to work properly. She must have swipped the card a dozen times. I wonder what the guest actually paid for that ice cream when all was said and done....

Every cart we stopped at last week took the cards. I would think the only ones that may not be set up are if they do not offer anything from the dining plan. However, if they have drinks, they seemed to be able to take them. We were on the dining plan, but they always asked me if I wanted to use a snack credit or charge it to the room.

I bought Mickey bars and pretzels off carts with my KTTW card in May. I LOVE Mickey bars...yum!

I was able to use my keycard at MGM, but I could not at the snack stand near the Indy raceway. It was 1 in the morning and I was sitting with the baby and really wanted a mickey ice cream.
