We just found out my DH is going to have to leave our vacation a few days before us. Since we are all on the same room with the same package we all have the same amount of credits.

Since he is leaving early he will be "wasting" 4 adult TS credits. Well we have 3 children. Can I add one more meal for the kids and I and use "adult credits" to pay for it (they will be out of childrens credits by this point).

Basically I want to eat at a TS with 1 adult and 3 children and pay for it all with 4 adult TS meal credits.

Allowed?

Do you know the reason?

If I order my 9 year old an adult meal why can't he use one of the adult credits.

Sorry if the quesitons are dumb but I am just confused?

Your questions are not dumb. :goodvibes They are very good questions.
I think the problem you will have is that when you are on the dining plan you cannot order and adult meal for your child..therefore you cannot use the adult credit. When you are using the DP your child can only order from the childs menu. A table with 3 kids and 1 adult on the dining plan will only be allowed to order 1 adult meal and 3 kids meals.

actually---it is a very good question---

instead of using it the way you are thinking of (which they wont let you do) you could use it other ways...

use it for room service...I think that takes 2 credits

...or...

use it for signature dining where it takes 2 credits like Cinderellas Royal Table, Jiko, California Grill, etc....

...or...

see if you can order the food "to go"

hope this helps---

I actually don't think you will have a problem if you order 2 adult meals and 2 child's meals. You would have to pay out of pocket for the child's meals as they will run out of credits first.

Since your KTTW card will have 2 adults and 3 children listed on it you will only be able to order as much as that at one time.

As another poster said you can use them up by doing 2TS credit meals, but you still have to pay out of pocket for some children's meals as you will be short.

The only other option is to use them as CS meals. Not the best use of them but better than not using them at all.

As you are ordering the number of meals to which you are entitled, you will need to ask at the restaurant whether or not you can order a child's meal and pay for it with an adult credit.

The other way around is not permitted. But this way would be within the discretion of the restaurant.

The problem you may have is that you have only two adults registered on the dining plan. If you get a server who is a stickler for rules, they may not allow you to use the adult credits to buy meals for the children.

It is most likely that you will not be able to order "to go" from any Disney TS restaurant.

Thanks everyone. I wil just have to try and see what happens. I know I don't want to use the credits as CS because we are going to have a ton of those left over also. My husband is leaving to go home 6 days before us so we wil have all his CS, snacks, and TS.
