Yes we will be traveling with the dreaded double stroller!! Can we ride on the monorail without folding it up? Can the kids just stay seated in the stroller? I know my kids will enjoy the monorail ride but I am not folding that beast up just to get to Dtd lol. I thought we would take it to dinner one night so the kids can have the experience.

If it does have to be folded... Can you stay on the monorail for a round trip loop? ( in case they can't be persuaded to skip it at least I could leave the stroller behind).

You can stay on for a round trip if it is not crowded (certain times of day they will make you get off as hotel guests are using it for transportation). You can usually take a round trip from inside DL, but you do have to get off inside DL if you board at DTD. (or do I have that backwards? I'm 99% sure its that way)

And yes, you need to fold the stroller. There is stroller parking inside DL at the monorail station, I would park it, confirm with the CM at the bottom of the ramp that you can make a full trip, and then hop on. The cars are not big and open in the middle like WDW, there are seats throughout.

Thank you for the info. I will definitely confirm before getting on but it will be very nice to just leave the stroller behind. Thanks for the planning help!

Thank you all! If my son can't resist the monorail I have a plan to handle it without stress. These boards are so so helpful to plan our first Disneyland trip!

I hear at DTD that this is a one-way trip only when we are boarding. I have never heard them say it can be done roundtrip (except from DL). But, I always go when it is busy... :)

Ok so sounds like I should start in dl and not Dtd to be safe

Yup that’s what I thought. You have to get off only in DL. You can stay on in DTD.

When you go up the platform, go to the first CM at the first gate and ask to ride with the driver ;-) so fun for the kiddos!

My kids will wait for the next one if someone is already waiting, that’s how much the love it

I didn't know that was possible! They will love that! Thanks!

I've been dragging around the double stroller for the last 3 years of trips since my twins were old enough to start going with us. I recommend leaving it it Tomorrowland and taking the round trip. No one has ever told us we can't take a round trip ride. In fact, I've gone around the loop multiple times in a row while my oldest was napping. I'm surprised to read accounts to the contrary. The DTD station is tricky with a stroller anyway. There's an elevator for disability access, but we usually end up having to carry it down the stairs unless we want to wait and no one wants to carry a double stroller down stairs (unless maybe it's an umbrella double).

If there is no line and it is not crowded at the other end, they may have let you stay. But typically it is one round trip from DL, and then if you want to ride again you can get out and get back in line.

Mornings and late evening time they will Sometimes ask you to get off in DTD. If a lot of hotel guests are trying to get into the parks. You can always just get back in line.

Yes, you can do a full loop without getting off.

ymmv though, i know they will ask you to cycle through the lines if the lines are long. ie, if there are a lot of people waiting to ride the monorail, u will have to leave and wait in line again.

That’s an exception. They usually make everyone get off at Tomorrowland.

Only when it is busy. I've gotten on in Tomorrowland multiple times when leaving via DTD so we could walk to the parking structure and there still have been folks on there. We are usually leaving between 10 and 10:30 on a Sunday. Monorail is always pretty dead during that time, no matter what time of year.
