Last night the kids and I were skimming the navigators I got off allearsnet.com. I mentioned in passing that I'd like to play a little bingo and they jumped right on it! Took me completely by surprise.

So, are kids allowed to get in on the bingo action? On the navigators there's no "A" in the margin to indicate it's adults only, so I'm hoping they can. And if they can, do they get a shot at the jackpot? Or is the cash prize just for grown-ups? My DS is 12 and DD is 10.

TIA,
Kelley

They are allowed in, an adult must buy the tickets, they can play and if they win you will have to claim the prize.

I think that is correct.

Bingo is for 18 and over. So only adults can buy the Bingo cards, and only adults can claim the prize (and yell Bingo) The kids can play the cards during the game, I have seen a lot of that. But if you have a winner, you must claim the prize.

Don't buy the cards for the kids and then leave though....

Someone did that not too long ago, on the last round of bingo (where the jackpot HAS to be given away). Their kid won. But the kid couldn't claim the prize. And mom & dad had left the theater. They almost forfeited the jackpot (I think it was over $3,000).
