Want to try and go to an early Spectro- looks like Thursdays its at 7pm...That night right now (this is for early Nov) Im was thinking of going to Kona for dinner. Can you park at the Poly, eat at Kona then take the monorail over for Spectro? Is there some time restriction on parking at a resort where you are not a guest? or the car will be fine? We are staying at POFQ and probably going to AK that day, so will be finished with time to go back to hotel and relax a bit before dinner (5p ADR???)....

There is a parking time of 3 hours when you are not a guest at the hotel. You could park your car at the TTC and walk over to the Polynesian.

Think thered be parking around 430 then, at TTC?? We'd have AAA pass but not sure theres any special parking for that at TTC...thanks for the reply.

You may not need your parking pass that late in the day. Once the attendants leave the parking lot for the day you are free to park where ever you like. If you drive to the front of the lot there are sometimes open spaces because people arrive early and don't stay late. Good Luck to you!!

I could be wrong, but I don't think that the 3-hr. limit is enforced for valet parking, at least not if you do have ADR, and don't come in until dinnertime. (It can see where it might be an issue if you showed up at 8 am and left the car there until after the MK closed.) We have gone to dinner and then over for EMH a couple of times (leaving DS @ NLC) and the valet folks did not seem to mind.

IMO, about the only way you're going to manage to get to see any parade if you go in after dinner is by hopping onto the train and getting off in Frontierland. That way you don't have to fight the crowds on Main St., and you'll be seeing the parade at the end of the route, so you have more time to catch the lead floats.

My experience is that it always takes quite a bit longer than you plan to get from place to place (and there may be a wait at the restaurant, too). I wouldn't chance it if you really want to see the parade. But that's just me.

I just did this in January. I made ressies for 5 p.m. Spectro was at 7 p.m. and Wishes at 8 p.m. We left the restaurant at 6:30 ( I know, I know, I didn't have time to stake out a claim) We took the monorail (just one other stop before MK) back to the Magic Kingdom, and by the time we had our bags checked, and went through the turnstiles, the parade was almost ready to begin. We had a window of about 12 minutes. We stood on the porch at near Tony's Townsquare Restaurant. We weren't up front on the street, but we could see just fine. I had someone with me who had never seen it before, so I was glad she got to experience it.Oh, by the way, we ate at 'Ohana.

Given the tightness of times, if I were you, for just that day, I'd either park at the MK/Ticket & Transportation Ctr, take the Monorail to the Poly at 4:30,( or leave the car, take the bus from Port Orleans to MK, then take the monorail from MK to Poly) --check in as early as possible at Kona's. Leave the restaurant no later than 6:30. After spectro/wishes, either take the tram to your car, or hop on the bus back to Port Orleans. It can be done. You just have to be aware of the time and give yourself enough time to get from point A to point B. Always, always, always, allow for the unexpected delay.

Thanks, sounds doable but probably an early dinner- even 430...if its on our AK day, might be ok, I dont think we would be at AK all day long like one of the other parks...Thanks for the input and help!
