Can I whine a little?

Waaaaaahhhhhh!

I am 36 years old and I got my first flat tire today! And of course DH is away on business and I live in a foreign country that doesn't have AAA. And if that isn't bad enough they can't repair the tire because it is in the sidewall and they don't have a tire to fit my van!! Waaaaaaaahhhhhh!!

Luckily my friends DH was kind enough to come over and put the donut on the van and he took me to the shop to help me translate what the guy was saying to me. And I was lucky something told me to get out of the van and check the tires just before getting on the highway. But still..............waaaaaaaahhhh!

Tomorrow will have to get a ride to the main base (an hour away) and pray that they have my tires in stock, if not, I don't know what I will do.

Bummer! I remember when I first learned to drive my Dad made me change my own tires 3 or 4 times until I could do it right... but then when I actually got a flat tire? I was hopeless (and about 10 or 15 years had passed) if not for the kindness of a passing motorist I was stuck!

Call the base first to make sure they have the tire in stock... ..

You don't mean you will have to carry the tire on the bus with you.....do you???

I don't know about tough, Joan, sometimes resourceful though.

No, I won't have to carry it on the bus, that is if they have it, a friend is giving me a ride. Also, I spoke to DH, he is in southern Italy right now and he will check at the base down there. So hopefully between the two of us we will have some luck.

I just hate it when stuff like that happens. I hope things work out for you! I have never had a flat tire either & I'm waaaaay older than you!!
