I will be at WDW for the day (I live not too far away - no longer in Ohio) - but I am a DVC member. While I am over at the Comtemporary Resort, can I walk over and have a look at the DVC Bay Lake Resort?

You probably won't be able to see much. The pool is gated. Many of the doors are locked and require a room key to open them. But you could ask the CM at the desk if they could show you around.

Sure, just swing by. The door to the bridge walkway is never closed.
