can I use the DVC rundisney discount for other people?

I not trying to do anything illegal but I wanted to run the 10K with my mom, who is not a DVc member. I am going to pay for her registration and wanted to know if I can get the $10 off for her as well.

The page on that is kinda vague. It says $10 off per person. But, it doesn't say that all persons have to be members.

I have been surprised using these discounts that they don't ask on the Active registration page for your member #. They just ask if you are a member. So it seems the discount is only for members, otherwise you're lying on the registration by saying you are if you're not.

But for $10 on a registration that can cost hundreds they might feel it's worth the trouble to verify.

Yeah that's what I thought. I'm not even sure who to ask, the active.com people or MS or rundisney? It is just $10 so I guess it's really not that big of a deal and like I said I'm not trying to do anything illiegal or pull one over on someone but if I can save the $10 then I would like to do so.
