We are going going to WDW in 8 days. Can we use our disney reward dollars to rent an ECV at the parks?

Also, we will need a break during mid-day. Since it is considered a "low crowd" week would we have a good chance of another evc being available in the afternoon?

Any info would be appreciated!

As long as the reward dollars on shown as being on a Disney Gift Card there should be no problem.

Even though it is a low crowd level week, there is still a possibility that they will be out of ECVs when you return in the afternoon. Normally they will not release any ECV unless it is fully charged, so when you bring one back in the late morning it will be put onto a charger.

That is everything about the Disney Rewards Card.

That is the FAQ for Disney Gift Cards

A Disney Gift Card is the same as with any company and different from the Disney Rewards Card. The Disney Rewards Card is a perk offered to persons who own a Disney Visa Credit Card. A Disney Gift Card is like any other gift certificate or card and can be used anywhere that is Disney with the condition that it is only good in the USA, not for ice shows, broadway shows, or at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. DownTown Disney stores not owned by Disney even take the cards.

In conjunction with Disneys Visa Credit Card from Chase, cardmembers earn 1% or more in Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM on card purchases. Reward dollars are good at most Disney locations (including, but not limited to, the Disneyland Resort, the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Store, DisneyShopping.com and Disney catalog).

When Cardmembers have earned a minimum of 20 Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM, they can call CardMember Services at Chase or go online at www.chase.com/disney to transfer their Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM to a Disney RewardsSM Card. In most cases, Cardmembers will complete this transaction before their Disney vacation.

All you have to do is tell them that you wil be returning later in the day and they will put your name on it and charge it, when you come back to the park, they will give it back to you. Don't worry about rushing if you think you will be running late, they will hold it for a while before pulling it out to give someone else.
