Can I use an old WDW hopper pass day (before Magic Your Way tix) at DL/DCA? Also, has anyone tried using the new WDW tickets the Magic Your Way tix here? I know that you can't use DL at WDW, but I had thought you could use WDW tix at DL. Can anyone comfirm/refute?

We are going for only one day so I need a 1 day ticket for hubby and myself Jan 15th and thought this might be the cheaper way to go.

Any thoughts?

I really don't know, but I wouldn't think that would work. :confused3 But I really have no idea.

In my past experience the answer is Yes. DL will let you use WDW tickets for entrance, they will not let you "hop" parks with them, but they will let you use them for entry to one of the 2 parks. The reasoning behind it (as I was told) is that the DL tickets are cheaper than WDW tickets so if you choose to use a WDW ticket at a DL park you are actually losing money (in their eyes) so they will accept them. However as you stated this is not the case in reverse, for the same reason... DL tickets are not valid at WDW...

CDS is right on-the money: Disneyland will accept WDW admission, on a day-for-day basis, but will not allow you to hop between the two parks in California. And, WDW does not accept any Disneyland passes for admission.

However, also note that WDW Annual Passes are not accepted at Disneyland.

Thanks for the info, but we are desperate to hop so I might go with another arrangement this time. I only need a 1-2 day hopper. One full day in DL and one part day at DCA. I may change my mind and just go with one day at DL and then I could use the tix.

I'm bumping this because I have the same question. The Unofficial Guide to DL says you can, and Mary at Mousesavers says you can with the old PH not with the new MYW tix. Has anyone actually done this lately with MYW PH?

Too bad you don't need a 2 day pass?!! I know a place that sells the 2FER pass only to Cali residents for $50!!

What is a 2 fer pass? I am a Cal resident. I was considering 2 days, but thought a 1 day hopper was all we have time for, we'll have to see. Send me the info if possible!

Thanks,
Jenn

We went to DL in jan '03 and we used our PH from WDW. It was the old pass not the new MYW tickets. But we were able to hop between DCA and DL no problem. We were there for only one day and we wouldn't have wasted two WDW passes to hop for one day.

So you used the same WDW ticket to get in DCA after using if for DL? Did it use 2 days off the ticket?

I do believe you can use the old WDW hopper at Disneyland and get both parks. They give you another ticket to use when you enter, and it's good for hopping.

Since in a lot of cases the new MYW passes are now cheaper (per day) then a standard DL Hopper, my guess is that they will not accept these for DIsneyland. THe only reason they ever accepted WDW hoppers was because they cost more then the DIsneyland passes.

yes. We went to the Guest Services booth outside the gate at DL and they took the tickets into the office and the manager took one day off and gave us a one day park hopper for DL and DCA. We went into DL first for a few hours, then over to DCA for a few and then back to DL for the evening. And it only used only one day off our WDW hopper.

Like I said it was in Jan '03. So I'm not sure if anything has changed. And it was the old tickets.

Good luck.

We have a few days left on old park hoppers from WDW, and one of them was for my 9DD ~ who is now 10 years old.

Will they let her exchange that child's ticket from WDW for a ticket that will get her in this year for DL?

Thanks! :flower:
